About
You are one of the three survivors of the slaughter of Castagath. Rescued by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock, you were drafted into the Republic’s Army of the Purifiers at a very young age to be trained in the military academy and become perfect soldiers against the supernatural. You also had the chance to benefit from Heimlock’s occasional advice and training, which led you and your childhood friends, Valeria and Edric, to be called the “Children of Heimlock”.
Recently, the Brotherhood of Dawn has infiltrated the Crimson Keep, a mysterious republican fortress lost among the northern deserts known as the Red wastes. While the purpose of the attack was unclear, the republican Senate voted a retaliation act against all known locations of the Brotherhood.
Led by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock himself, troops are soon deployed on the Coast of wrecks, near the city state of Stormfall, to terminate a camp of Brothers. You are, with your two childhood friends, part of operation Dawnbane, under the supervision of Justicar Maëlys.

Brought this game for less than $3. And to be honest. By the end of the Third act. I wish i didn't. The dev's abandoned the game leaving an incomplete story campaign on a cliffhanger. And instead of putting in the work to complete the campaign with another 2 to 3 more chapters, they decided to ditch the game, come up with a half baked, trash of a chapter 4, which is supposed to be it's sad excuse for "We didn't wanna commit to completing our game but with all the sales we made off the game, we wanna move on to our next project" Endgame. I will never, i repeat NEVER BUY a damn thing from these sad ass developers. A shame, this game had all the making to be great. Stupid devs/company.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game can be decent, but it was co-op that made it fun. But they've turned off servers with no option of local co-op. Don't buy this garbage.
Pretty game with some really ambitious ideas. It's a shame they jumped the shark with a 1.0 release and most of those ideas just didn't function. This game currently no longer has multiplayer so keep that in mind. The campaign actually isn't bad, but if you're looking for something more than just a weekend-long story romp RPG that has grinds and gear chases, I advise looking elsewhere at games Path of Exile 1/2, Last Epoch, or Diablo IV. With how the studio fumbled this one though I just can't recommend it unless you get it on a sale of 50% or better. I remember getting it in early access back when you could still rotate the camera and the starting experience was much different. It did still have the dual resource system that the current game has, which is one of the ideas I thought was really cool. Anything in these kinds of games that can make a hybrid attack+spell character work is super cool in my book. The rotating talent tree is a really neat way to facilitate this, too; sadly at launch, most of the talents just... didn't work. You'd mouse over them, they'd have a tooltip, you could invest a point, but then they simply didn't do anything. Very frustrating to find out. I'm just glad I played offline and could use CheatEngine to freely reset my talent tree until I found something that did work. Their cosmetics "transmog" system is actually one of the best in the genre so I'll give them that. Again, the graphics are pretty, if the character models are a little crazy, but the environments are actually pretty incredible. There are some memorable characters here. Just don't expect to get much more than the campaign out of this one. If you REALLY want something different and have already played, say, Grim Dawn, then maybe grab this one on a steep sale.
I only discovered Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem when the servers were shutting down and it popped up in my “cheap ARPGs to waste spare cash on” searches. For three bucks, it felt like a harmless gamble. A lot of the negative reviews come from the launch era (when the game was apparently a bug festival) or from people who expected multiplayer. I went in knowing it’s single‑player only, so none of that bothered me. What you get is an ARPG that aimed high and face‑planted hard - but left behind surprisingly high production value. Cutscenes look great, every line of dialogue is fully voiced, and the game is packed with interesting mechanical ideas. The Rage/Willpower resource system is genuinely clever: Magic and combat skills feed into each other, opening the door for hybrid builds. In theory. In practice, skills are tied to weapon types, which limits creativity. I wanted to play an ice ranger hybrid, but since hybrid setups require a one‑hand weapon plus a catalyst - and I found a great bow early - I ended up going with a more traditional Rage build. This kind of inflexibility is a common complaint: the potential is there, but the weapon restrictions get in the way. The passive system is where Wolcen shines. It’s a rotating web of nodes across three rings, and you can literally spin the sections to line up the archetypes you want. If you don't want to deal with it you spin the wheels so you get to the standard-fare trees - But you can also come up with a mixed melee, ranged and magic progression, almost every combination is possible! Most nodes are standard stat bumps, but some unlock entirely new mechanics - extra projectiles, damage bonuses if you avoid hits, and so on. Everything can be respecced cheaply, so experimentation is encouraged. I started building a glass‑cannon damage dealer and eventually shifted into a sturdier crowd‑control build because it simply felt better. Combat difficulty is uneven. Most of the game is a relaxed power trip, and then suddenly you hit a spike that forces you to think instead of mowing down mobs. You get three automatic revives per level on standard difficulty, and you’ll probably use them when you least expect it. Bosses are fun but not especially punishing - unless you bring an ice build to an ice boss, in which case… good luck. The story is serviceable: great cutscenes, a few memorable NPCs, and the usual mix of cults, ancient evils, and chosen‑one energy. There’s also an Ascension form that turns you into a divine beast with flashy abilities. I mostly used it as a bonus revive and a safe way to learn boss patterns. Cool idea, slightly wasted. So what does it all boil down to? If you want a well‑produced single‑player ARPG that’s now almost bug‑free (aside from some textures loading late for a few seconds), and you enjoy tinkering with systems, Wolcen is absolutely worth the tiny asking price on sale. If you’re looking for a forever‑game, this isn’t it. It never fully “clicks,” and the balance feels off - not just in gameplay, but in tone and structure. But underneath the flaws is a mine of good and novel ideas, strong art direction, and excellent voice acting. Treated as a one‑and‑done experiment with lots of toys to play with, there’s plenty to enjoy. And honestly? A sequel that builds on these mechanics could be an instant classic.
Dead and abandoned by the developers. This game was really fun at first, but feature-creep and the constant changing of the games direction truly hurt Wolcen in the long-run. If one is desperate to play a "new" ARPG then this is not the worst choice, but there are much superior products on the market such as Grim Dawn. Wait for this to go on-sale at a steep discount before buying. Thus, Wolcen gets a 6/10 since it needed many more updates to bring it on par with other games in the genre, but sadly got abandoned by the developer. Note, the last update they did release allowed for one to play alone in an offline mode.
Don't go joining other companies or change your name. I never want to purchase anything else from those responsible for this games existence.
Imagine you buy this on sale for 10$ and get a single player ARPG thats decent, without any service model, without forced online and cosmetic store. It had problems at launch but now its a hidden gem if you can look past a bit of jankiness.
This game was good when it first came out into early access. It had potential to possibly be as good or better than diablo 3 and PoE. After the release of Diablo 4 and PoE 2 they abandoned multiplayer and obviously aren't interested in competing with these games anymore. They gave up. I didn't invest in the game's early access so they could give up. I can't recommend that anyone buy this game.
