About
It is 1926, ten years after an immense “occult event” halted the Great War and transformed the world overnight. The dead walk, spirits roam, and a gifted few can even cast spells.
9-year-old Clover awakens alone in a decaying mansion just miles from the epicenter of the occult event, and soon discovers that she is a ghost.
Her only companion is a strange and powerful doll constructed from wood, metal, and human remains.

In this Horror Action RPG from the creator of Withering Rooms, join Clover and her doll guardian as they explore the mysterious town of Penwyll and the sprawling graveyards that surround it, seeking a way to bring her back to life.
Descend into tombs, caves and rotting estates in search of treasure, upgrade materials and magical artifacts
Craft weapons and machines to slot into the doll’s missing right arm like the Enchanted Candelabrum, Chain Rock, Machinegun, or Flamethrower
Expand the world map by defeating massive perimeter guardians
Make allies such as the daring freelance investigator Althea who will do anything to uncover Penwyll's dark secret including interrogation, lockpicking and forgery
Return to any area at night to encounter new, horrifying creatures and secrets

I've really enjoyed the game. I'm 16 hours in and it keeps adding new mechanics, new enemies, and areas. It borrows from just about every genre I like and it's something very unique. I would describe it as a soulsvania, 90s survival horror tank control, rougelite, old-school FMV mini puzzle game.
Its simply fantastic, especially for 20$, every cent is worth it. It perfectly mixes that souls like combat with good horror that doesnt need jump scares. pros - Atmosphere music story clear build variety its easy to change builds on the fly -lots- of options for equipment building Lots of stuff to do, alongside remembering to backtrack for things >difficulty. i find it to be a plus, but it is -very- hard at times cons - enemies can jump you the very second you walk into a new zone large groups of enemies can be a slog depending on build Some attacks true combo you into a second hit depending on where you land after you get hit
Outstanding follow up to Withering Rooms, immaculately unique vibes, incredible music.
Writing this within a week of early access launch -- the game is (currently) not without its flaws and the (solo) developer is actively working on the game. Withering Realms is a full fledged outing including post game content available immediately today. the 'roadmap' is to cleanup bugs and balance the game otherwise. that said, the game performance has been perfect, i have had zero crashes, and 98% of the time things operate as normal... but i have run into some jank. This horror adventure action RPG is structured with very loose instructions of where to go and what to do, but does provide enough hints and directions of where to ultimately go. the atmosphere is very silent hill inspired but also its own thing. there is a buffet of customization, both towards combat stats/weaponry and avatar/drip. there are secrets and optional content littered around that feel satisfying instead of filler. puzzles are well designed to be moderately thought-provoking. a sprinkle of metroidvania style backtracking to areas when you acquire new skills/items (fast travel makes this painless). the soundtrack is incredible. combat is somewhat stiff and deliberate (souls-like i guess) which basically means wait your turn a lot of times... which unfortunately doesnt pan out well when hoarded but there are tons of options at your disposal to make it work. difficulty is definitely on the challenging scale -- you will die, but it is also fairly forgiving with waypoints. overall a very worthwhile and unique experience. i look forward to following moonless formless as a developer continue making incredible games.
I played Withering Rooms from start to finish, unable to put it down. The atmosphere in that game is next to none. Withering Realms is that and more. The gameplay is an order of magnitude smoother. Ranged weapons are no longer tied to ammunition, and mana regenerates. Going full 3D only served to make the game infinitely better. Whilst this and the original had some Dark Souls inspirations, thank god it's not a souls-like, as bad souls-likes are a dime a dozen these days with only a few being genuinely good. So far I've only been able to find a single NPC AI bug in which a healer NPC would heal corpses. So as far as EA goes, it's been nothing but smooth sailing. I will update the review once the game fully releases. Other than that, thumbs up, highest recommendations, editor's choice, especially if you like the original.
Amazing game from start to finish (yes as early access, this game blew alot of AA or even AAA game out of the water, the level of love & care is amazing). I cannot wait for further update along the line till the game finally release.
