Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 11 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game is very well polished and hits every sweet spot of classical JRPGs. The story is weak compared to the few immortals such as Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest, but the art is as beautiful as any top JRPG out there. Another weakness is that the game is a little grindy. Materials that unlock high level skills and arms require players to kill specific monsters repeatedly.

You'll see the phrase "hidden gem" a lot about this game, and that couldn't be more true! It's wonderful. There's perhaps a tiny bit too much dialogue, but apart from that everything moves along at a brisk pace. Combat, magic and crafting are fun, and the main character is adorable. It's a shame there's no ultrawide support but the p1xel8ted mod fixes that perfectly.
Honestly a great game with lots of quality of life features, if you weren't aware it's a dramatically improved version of a mobile game that is no longer available. There are 4 Witchspring games, hopefully they can improve the other three and also bring them to Steam as they did an excellent job with this one. The game does start out a bit slow and the story starts very simple. But you're still in the tutorial about 2, maybe 3 hours in (with new mechanics almost constantly getting added slowly throughout the story). The tutorial is very thorough but that does mean the very beginning feels bland and has no hook. It does get better over time with some decent plot twists and well done characters. I would say if you don't enjoy the game after Black Joe tells you how to teleport home and you beat the boar boss then maybe drop the game (maybe around an hour or an hour and a half? It's the first battle where you can use items without losing a turn). The MC is 10 years old so a bit gullible, a bit of a mischievous teasing personality sometimes, very cute, and like most characters fairly straightforward. You don't usually get huge backstories but that can be a good thing, each character feels unique without having anything too complex. The game has lots of little mechanics that are just great, the first pet lets you move faster, teleporting is always useful, crafting is very simple and auto crafting exists, quick hunt, etc. Training is mini games, you want to start with one instead of 4 for simplicity (also because you want to choose multiple when they're max level so training is faster, meaning the game punishes you a bit for selecting multiple at levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 so you should choose one then train, then another and train. Rather than choosing 2-4 and training because you get less rewards. So rather than choosing push ups and push ups or push ups and swimming you should choose push ups finish training and then push ups or swimming) but you'll learn fast. Since level 5 is the max level there's no reason not to do 4 or 5 training sessions at once at level 5 to save time. You have 3 major builds and can work on any stat you want or a combination (although some training options do seem completely irrelevant compared to others). The game auto saves and is extremely forgiving of mistakes letting you restart and end battles (you can only end a battle if Pieberry can take action before dying). Simple fun puzzles, a cozy game that has a lot of similarities to existing games but the QoL features make it stand out. Some skills actually don't consume MP and have cooldowns instead, I was surprised at how powerful the MC was in the beginning. Rarely the game will have Pieberry alone and if you don't have a pet summoned you'll fight alone. (There seems to be no reason to fight alone so you may as well re-summon a pet whenever possible if it isn't out. Except for maybe getting new pets since your pets can accidentally knock them out before you cast mind control.) You quickly get two pets in the beginning, the game will tell you at the beginning of a fight if you can recruit an enemy monster (it seems to be a single enemy when it can be recruited and happens very infrequently as a unique monster to the area, the enemy name will also be in blue). You can summon multiple pets at once which is insanely powerful and never mentioned, even though it consumes a bit of mana, just don't go around expecting to recruit all or most enemies. The DLC is free and it's post story content, free DLC is usually a sign that the devs have a good community and listen to feedback (from what I've seen). I got it on sale and it definitely was worth it at half the original price. A brief explanation on builds, mage build is about high magic dealing area damage and multiple powerful abilities probably focusing on speed with possibly a bit of defense. Whereas the physical (sword) build is about getting an extra turn the first time Pieberry defeats an enemy in a battle with a physical skill. It works well after using a magic skill for extra damage or just finishing a weak enemy(ies) to get an extra turn which can help her special skills charge. The sword build comes with multi-hit skills, more defense and faster mobility by a bit but no area magic attacks. Both are good so test a bit. There is some funny dialogue and higher difficulties (presumably for NG+ since I don't see much reason to do multiple playthroughs) There is some mild fanservice but I don't think most people will notice since it's extremely brief and not at all a focus of the game. The game is very anti-Catholic but it is a game about a witch so expect some hypocrisy and things that just don't always make sense. Like the game going the pope is so evil and the game sides heavily with what is ironically extremely evil, like making some very questionable angles on a young girl for fanservice (like witches are born with magic and it's not a choice or religious people are oppressive and do a lot of horrible things according to this game, etc.) Just finished the game so it isn't especially long around 20, maybe 25 hours. Of course you can extend it if you do more side quests and fully explore areas but I think I saw most things in the game. The final fight was a bit of a struggle so I may have been a little underprepared but I don't know how much extra stuff I missed. I guess if you're fully exploring everywhere it could be closer to 30 or 35 hours. The characters are well done (they all seem pretty likable and easy to identify, at least the important ones) and the game doesn't feel like it's tedious or drawn out until towards the end but that's the same as any JRPG. The epilogue is a nice short story for wrapping things up, I'll update this soon with details of NG+. So in NG+ you retain your stats and most equipment, even training levels so you're extremely powerful. You probably want to play on hard or very hard difficulty or whatever the names were for the two difficulties harder than normal. You do skip the tutorial which can be nice, you still start on chapter one but it's a bit less tedious (unless you want to go through the tutorial again but you can always start a new game without cleared save data for that). Aside from that benefit and maybe getting to re-experience the story I don't see any huge reason to play NG+, I think most people will either come back to the game after a while for NG+ or they'll play it a bit and drop it. Not that the game needs a big reason to have multiple playthroughs but there seems to be no extra motive other than experience the story again, so far. TLDR: The story starts simple but really picks up about an hour-ish in with Black Joe's help and only gets better from there. The characters are simple without feeling irrelevant and obviously everyone loves Pieberry who has a generally likable personality and multiple outfits. NG+ is better than most games but seemingly no extra incentive to do it other than if you want to go through the story again. There are a couple areas to explore for every location I think, like paths that lead to stronger enemies and better rewards.
