It's an awesome game. But we're getting really tired of playing on multiple servers for different friends. A group of us got into this game, but we're not always on at the same times. So we end up making multiple characters on different servers and it's honestly annoying. The best game with the best way to play is No Rest for the Wicked. Man, they created a way to join a server you have with friends without needing to have a main person host and be on in order to access it. Its amazing. Games need to catch up to this, because THIS is what we look for now in games with servers and worlds. Until then, after making 4 characters, and dumping time and effort into building things in each one I'm burned out and turned off from playing anymore.
Fun game. Kept me busy for 30+ hours.
Absolutely loving this game :) it's so beautiful and fun. I've played 5 hours and got my broom, enjoying crafting/upgrading things, exploring, the combat.. it's all really awesome :D defs recommend supporting this game!
It's not that I dont like the game but I feel that the price is a high ask for the current state of the game. Fully exploring all islands, getting most familiars and completing the story will take roughly 20h. And thats not bad per say, but due to "end game" being a drag (farming rng snooze-fest) and no real reason to farm for better gear regardless and building being wonkey Im ready to bet you wont see many players with hundreds of hours in this game. Also if you are looking for a survival crafting game, this isnt really it. Its more of an open world "rpg" with some survival crafting mechanics. You have no bars to manage and there is no durability on anything. I personally dont care, sometimes its nice without those thigns. Im just writing it rather high up in my review in case you like and want these features. The good: + Beautiful open world + Cute design of the familiars + Pleasing setting + It was fun to finish whats currently available + You can put your familiars to work to make crafting faster + Cool astral projection mode for building, letting you hover around and build as you please The bad: - Grindy. Be it gear or familiars, everything can be 0-3 stars and it all comes down to luck - Repitative - More jank than I prefer in combat - Not that many creatures to collect - Your familiars do rather bad damage even against much lower lvl opponents - Short - Very VERY janky build mechanics - Lacks lots of basic functions like a sort button in your inventory, anything to do with items you dont need, no way to respecc "tech tree" points - Character is bound to the world you create Combat is fun but it has it's kinks due to being early access. Many times your companion AI wont adjust for the attack commands you give it and miss its attacks, while other times it feels like they can never ever hit the opponent. Other times your wand will just miss becaue reason. Some attacks that the mobs use have insane tracking and are a bit too hard to avoid. At the same time you can take your lvl 30 familiar and it will barely scratch a mob half the level of it, and that is IF the attacks actually hit. Weird building mechanics, pieces overlap in weird ways, some of the roofs dont have a proper middle piece on top, the roof beams the game provides snap att really weird places where it makes no sense for it to snap. Hard to connect tower building to anything else due to snapping, stairs arnt steep enough so they will take up 3 tiles to get you up to the next floor. Also the UI is a hit or miss. When you are not using snap its very hard to see where you are placing the pieces and it often results in bad placement. Looking forward to future updates to this game, and I can recommend to keep an eye out for a more feature complete state of the game.
There's a lot i want to say, but there's so little i could say. If you like a cozy yet action adventure that you can explore, this is the game for you hands down. But as so right now, i would recommend not buying this game until it leaves Early Access. Also sad that one of the best aspects of the game, cooking become so unimportant after you start to brew spells, also farming is a luxury in this game, as bag of seeds cost 100 coins (200 if Sweet berry), and coins are so difficult to come by, Also brooms are way too slow
