Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 46.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

Skill and knowledge are essential for success against the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-fueled army. If you die, return to the battlefield for a one-time chance to reclaim what you lost, or attack again with a new plan.

Explore vast, immersive biomes and choose your battleground to confront the witch's forces. Each completed encounter strengthens you and your arsenal through the roguelite system called Arcana. There are countless ways to build your preyer and dominate the witch.

Only the most wicked sinners are transformed into preyers, undead assassins sustained by witchfire flowing through their veins. In the base of operations known as the Hermitory, you can choose from a wide selection of distinctive weapons, spells, and artifacts to build your own preyer.

On each expedition, you can extract your looted items or, if you feel confident, confront the witch’s Familiar to unlock new areas and powerful items and upgrades.

Piece together a story from the past to save the future. Investigate ships crashing on the verge of the witch’s land and locate the artifact that can tip the scales in the ongoing war between the Church and the witches.

During the Early Access period, Witchfire will undergo changes, including new areas, enemies, weapons, and tools of destruction. Help us shape the game to reach its full potential!

Solid gameplay, addictive gameplay loop, very challenging but satisfying to overcome. I'm very curious about the story since I know the narrative really won't be fully fleshed out until 1.0. There are a couple of things that I would like to see, including a few things I've noticed other people asking for: - A gear chest in the Testing Grounds would be nice so you don't have to run all the way back to the Gunroom to swap your weapons and spells if you're spending a lot of time training. - The ability to sort weapons in the Gunroom. - Make the next Mysterium ability on weapons and items visible. I like to know what goal I'm working toward and I've had a few instances where I've had several items at once that were eligible for a second or third Mysterium upgrade and didn't know what to choose. I simply prefer to make informed choices rather than guess if the next upgrade is going to be worth it for me or not. - Make it clearer on the minimap if enemies or other points of interest are above or below you. - I don't know if this is a bug or intended, but in Irongate Castle, I have to go through the process of fighting a large number of enemies and then paying the toll collector with the Strange Coin every time I've taken that route. I feel like that route should just be permanently opened after you go through the process the first time. When you lower the drawbridge, for example, it remains down permanently, so making players go through the process of fighting the guardsmen every time they take the toll collector path doesn't make a ton of sense.

An FPS mix of souls-like and extraction in a dark fantasy setting What's there no to like? I'd suggest waiting for the 1.0, but there's already plenty to play around with rn
好玩的夸张 就是才到小镇走几步就要死 难度曲线不太合理 小镇比后面城堡还难多了 那个小蜘蛛真的难打
The calamity aspect probably needs a complete rework, the one with a pirate ship prob should be deleted. Fun Game lots of grinding. Needs a third gun option to cover more ranges. Interesting story wish i could have faced the last boss.
Difficult as heck at first, you will get used to it. Almost finished with Early Access when I purchased so felt well polished and fleshed out so far. I have not yet advanced into the highest difficulty areas but I am about mid-tier when writing this. Feels like an old school shooter and while some would have difficulty with that, it is nice harken back to a faster and more twitchy style of shooting akin to a doom game but with harder enemies. Weapon variety is nice but I haven't found any I truly love yet, which actually likely speaks well to the balance of the weapons overall where there isnt one true answer. The fully upgraded starter revolver(depending on initial class selection) will likely take you far once mastered. Weakpoint shots are always necessary to survive any fight and you will likely be on your toes at all times as you go through the levels. New areas, concepts, and mechanics are doled out quickly creating an air of mystery around those concepts as you familiarize yourself with them. It never gets old and I am still seeing new events and content that I had not yet seen before. The theme is a bit heavy but given the previous works of these developers it seems to be their comfort zone. In terms of performance, my PC is rather beefy but I had no issues and smooth sailing throughout. Overall it is a very fun singleplayer experience and I look forward to 1.0 and what other discoveries I have yet to make.
Highly recommended great game but slightly held back by some current design choices
Witchfire has excellent gunplay, atmosphere, build variety, and progression. When everything clicks, the combat is fast, difficult, and extremely satisfying once you get your class logic going. It also runs pretty well for how good it looks. There are some sticking points here and there but otherwise its pretty optimized from my experience on this simple Laptop. However, I do have a 5090 Desktop and in 4K the game looks even better if you like visuals have the system to run it. My only real issue is that the game sometimes confuses difficulty with frustration. For example, some Torments and enemy combinations undermine the combat mechanics instead of making you engage with them more intelligently. I've had encounters where the solution wasn't "play better," but rather isolate some enemy/ies and spend several minutes exploiting the one method of damage the modifier didn't completely neuter. Conceptually, this isn't inherently bad, however it takes away from the core game design philosophy sometimes and either makes the gameplay boring or just annoying at times. The Torments, while optional, have valuable content imo locked behind them so this should certainly be addressed for the final release. Objective clarity can also be rough. Important mechanics are sometimes unnecessarily obscure, and putting poorly explained side objectives inside timed encounters just encourages the player to waste time figuring out whether something is actually relevant. If you're a big mystery or puzzle enjoyer, you may like this, however I think some of these could have slightly more direction behind them or maybe have a toggle to make it more simple as a non-competitive title. I like difficult games. I don't mind getting destroyed because I played badly. But there have been several moments in Witchfire where instead of thinking "I need to play better," I was thinking "Respectfully, did anyone actually play-test this?" Still recommended. The core game is genuinely fantastic and innovative. It just needs another pass on encounter design, objective clarity, and some of the higher-difficulty modifiers which for an unfinalized game is impressive. Great Job!
Super fun all around. In the beginning you can run and gun if you're skilled enough. However, towards the later of the game when you're level 20+, you need to be more strategic about the guns and skills you use. The amount of times I got pissed off cause I didn't play it safe was astronomical. Bonus points for the catholic themes. As a Catholic, I'm in love with how they incorporated the faith. Nevertheless, this is an amazing game with an awesome story and sick styles. 11/10.
Such a Fantastic Concept. It feels like a combo of borderlands, dark souls, and a killer extraction game. Very excited to max all the equipment and dive deeper! Absolutely a Great addition to the games we have today

Amazing game that is full of discovery. Dark Souls with guns is accurate and deserved.
