Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 46.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

Skill and knowledge are essential for success against the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-fueled army. If you die, return to the battlefield for a one-time chance to reclaim what you lost, or attack again with a new plan.

Explore vast, immersive biomes and choose your battleground to confront the witch's forces. Each completed encounter strengthens you and your arsenal through the roguelite system called Arcana. There are countless ways to build your preyer and dominate the witch.

Only the most wicked sinners are transformed into preyers, undead assassins sustained by witchfire flowing through their veins. In the base of operations known as the Hermitory, you can choose from a wide selection of distinctive weapons, spells, and artifacts to build your own preyer.

On each expedition, you can extract your looted items or, if you feel confident, confront the witch’s Familiar to unlock new areas and powerful items and upgrades.

Piece together a story from the past to save the future. Investigate ships crashing on the verge of the witch’s land and locate the artifact that can tip the scales in the ongoing war between the Church and the witches.

During the Early Access period, Witchfire will undergo changes, including new areas, enemies, weapons, and tools of destruction. Help us shape the game to reach its full potential!

TLDR
This is honestly a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good game - especially for an Early Access launch. It's playable, complete and will offer quite a few hours of fun! It has some flaws but the positives absolutely outweigh them.
Review
It's an extraction adjacent rogue-lite. The premise is simple and the gameplay is fluid. You're sent to different places to complete certain objectives to advance the story. There's secrets across the map to discover and enemies to fight. The graphics are really good, the gunplay feels smooth and the enemies are varied. Boss fights feel challenging and can be a real adrenaline kick.
Positives
* Atmosphere - it's everything. The game feels awesome, the different biomes look cool and feature different mechanics you have to understand and then master. * Graphics - like I mentioned, it's beautiful and well done, runs fluid and doesn't stutter. * Gunplay - the actual gunplay feel great. You get to chose a bunch of different weapons to try and play with and they all feel unique in some way * Gameplay - Super fun for quite a while * Gnosis System - It's such a unique and cool way to progress. The world changes and reveals more of its secrets, making you stronger but also proving more of a challenge!
Negatives
* Locked Character - you can't switch characters and it doesn't seem like you can carry anything over between characters. That's a real drawback. Essentially whatever you chose at the beginning is what you're stuck with. OR you have to start all over again * Diverse Characters - I haven't tried all of them but they're all very similar in some way? Yes, they start out different but then in the end it feels like it doesn't matter much * Progression - Character progression is a bit meh. I would've liked more defining traits and less same-ness. * Calamities - They sound really cool on paper and the first one you encounter kicks your adrenaline in overdrive but then, after having seen them, you realize they can happen AT ANY point. Trying to find an obscure secret somewhere deep in a level? Calamity happens across the map above ground - good luck you're slowly dying now.
Verdict
I know that's a lot of negatives, but despite all that, I had an absolute blast and would 100% recommend the game! It's a ton of fun to play - if they fix the small issues noted (it's close to release, so finger's crossed), it would be a standout for me!

Bella atmosfera, gameplay simile a doom ma più lento, difficoltà alta.
画质不错,除此之外就是一坨
I don't write Steam reviews, not even for games that I have played consistently over a decade. This time it's different. Not because the development team is new and small. Not because gameplay is smooth and challenging, or skill progression is well paced and fits a rich, accessible lore or because crafting is intuitive after 30 minutes of tinkering around without bothering to carefully read every tutorial line or that every tile set is hand crafted and varied with a catchy steampunk-goth horror aesthetic. What's different is that it is FUN AS HELL TO PLAY. Every level, every location, every item, every skill tree is fun to learn and use. NOTHING GOES TO WASTE. No RNG. No radiant quest fluff. No useless NPC interaction. Only criticism is that enemy NPC combat AI is a bit weak. Not terrible, like third-graders in a pee-wee outfield, but not state-of-the-art. All in all, the Astronauts have definitely done their homework - as gamers first and devs second, baking in familiar movement and combat mechanics from many games into a unified, fluid system that invites replay and a winning narrative that shows more than it tells.
It is a fantastic game, but the sound effects need to be levelled better: the sound of the guns shooting is way too loud, and when you lower the "sound effects volume", you lose a lot of other good sound effects such as the player's foot steps and environmental actions. I do actually recommend this game but would rather post "no" just in case it helps get attention for future updates.
