Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. Each habitat focuses on a key aspect of the growth of your preserves.
In Wingspan up to 5 players compete to build up their nature preserves in a limited number of turns. Each beautiful bird that you add to your preserve makes you better at laying eggs, drawing cards, or gathering food. Many of the 170 unique birds have powers that echo real life: your hawks will hunt, your pelicans will fish, and your geese will form a flock.

This game is considered ideal for individuals who possess a keen interest in ornithology, as well as those seeking a moment of repose. The cards, which are beautifully illustrated, are accompanied by the sounds of birds.
I keep playing, so that must mean I like the game. I like the bird sounds and the game is quirky and complicated enough that I want to keep improving. The sounds and imagery are great. I'm still in "easy" mode so there's much more to do still. A few things I don't love: the in-game tutorial is terrible. I had to go to Youtube for help. The trivia facts are random and don't always teach me much about the bird. Weird that you only get one fact per bird. I'm hoping that I'll learn more about birds the more I play, just by observing their nest types and habitat types--or learning of entirely new species. Overall, if you like birds, you should like this game.

Beautiful digital design on a already wonderful game :)
Really great Board Game and love the digital edition. Seems overwhelming at first but when you get in and actually play it the game becomes easier as you go on. Brilliant with the family, smaller groups and playing solo against AI (NOTE: AUTOMA is not the AI mode but an entirely different challenge... Still haven't looked on how to play that mode yet)
This is a great way to scratch the itch of playing Wingspan if you don't have anyone to play with in the real world. The graphics are fun and the music is relaxing. The UI is intuitive and the game is addictive. I love all the different options for games. There is an online feature that is well done, allowing you to play in real time or off-sync.
I like the complexity it has pair together with the possibilities in which each game can go.
I've only played this once but it seems like an interesting enough engine builder.
A few attempts in and you'll find yourself fully enjoying the game... at the start I guess you just need to figure out the mechanics of it in terms of what moves you can do what you cant how the birds work together and what your goals are. I'm currently playing AI on normal and I am really enjoying it. ive just downloaded all dlc but did wish in the original you had more game modes or maybe a highscore chart... or even like a campaign mode where you can unlock more birds characters I didn't download the decorative packs i'm not really one for skins as I belive it should be something you unlock in the game
Beautiful chill game. Seems complicated at first and the tutorial is a little daunting but actually very easy to pick up. Games take around 30 minutes to complete. Its easy to play both solo and in groups (havent tried the online play yet but have played with family using the local co-op. Highly recommend.
Please add Caique parrots in the game!!!!!!
