Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
WILL: Follow The Light is a story-driven, first-person adventure puzzle game about a perilous personal journey through the harsh northern latitudes. To find peace and reunite with his family, Will must sail across endless waters, face numerous challenges, and ultimately discover himself.
You play as Will, a lighthouse keeper on a remote island in the northern seas. The story begins during one of your typically solitary shifts when an unexpected radio message shatters the routine. A sudden disaster has struck your hometown, and your only son is missing. Determined to find him, you must set out on a quest aboard your sailing yacht, Molly, navigating the treacherous northern seas.
The harder you search for your son, the more questions arise. What hidden truths lie in your bond with your own father? Where is your beloved wife? What has happened to your family? The answers are scattered across the unforgiving northern environments you explore — an abandoned island accessible only by sea, a mountain range traversable by dog sled, and your home now standing among ruins and accessible only on foot.
Through the journey, you discover and confront truths about yourself, whether you’re ready for them or not.
All of it to save your son…

A clear recommendation for fans of first-person adventure games with light puzzle elements. The scenery is beautiful, and the atmosphere is immersive. The sailing and dogsledding sequences are particularly enjoyable. However, you'll spend most of your time solving a variety of mostly interesting puzzles to progress the story, and there is a certain amount of repetition. I also enjoyed the narrative, although I'm still not sure I've connected all the pieces. The soundtrack complements the experience perfectly, and the voice acting is solid. I only have one minor criticism: I would have appreciated a few more hints for some of the optional puzzles.
I am thinking in particular of the graveyard puzzle.
So, once again, this is an easy recommendation if you're looking for a narrative adventure about self-discovery and father-son relationships. If you're expecting a sailing simulation, however, I'd recommend waiting for the Free Sailing Mode update, which is currently scheduled for Q4 2026.

The opening storm is superb. The combination of violent waves, deafening weather, detailed environments and unsettling music creates an extraordinarily convincing introduction. The lighthouse chapter also works well, particularly when its practical tasks feel connected to Will’s job. Recording weather data, preparing emergency power and restoring communications all help make the location feel functional and believable. Unfortunately, the game gradually becomes overdependent on errands, backtracking and environmental puzzles. Some are satisfying, but others are made difficult by poor visibility, unclear instructions or objects that are unnecessarily hard to find. The sailing is the biggest disappointment. Molly looks wonderful, and travelling across the northern seas is visually pleasant, but the underlying mechanics are extremely basic. This is a cinematic traversal system rather than a serious sailing simulation. The audio, graphics and atmosphere remain strong enough to earn a recommendation, provided you understand what you are buying.
Sim UK Verdict
Recommended as a visually stunning, atmospheric story adventure with light puzzles and simplified sailing. Not recommended for players primarily seeking authentic navigation, detailed sail handling or a serious sailing simulation. Follow the story and atmosphere—but do not follow the claim of realistic sailing too literally.
If they would have leaned into the awesome sailing more, I would have liked it a lot more. It's a pretty average game at best otherwise. This game is going to go over a lot of people's heads if they're not tuned into all of the euphemisms in the overall storytelling. Despite the popular tags, this is a puzzle game first and foremost. You're walking from one puzzle to the next (very rarely ever sailing), so if you're not ready for that or expecting anything else, you're going to be surprised - whether in a good way, or not, comes down to how you feel about puzzles. I would have passed on this if I knew better but they weren't too difficult, and the game is short so I knocked it out and felt fine about it.
The game progresses extremely slowly, and you keep doing the same things over and over. Mechanically, it is seriously weak.
Game is nice enough (not a masterpiece but engaging), in hundreds of games this is honestly the first (or almost first) time that a bug stops me from progressing in the game (boat can't move). Reloading etc. doesn't help at all and this game is not something that you can speed run and I am not going to play all previous chapters just to get to this same point. Waiting for a fix (bug is known since May apparently, at least).
Great game. Loved the different modes of transport used - sailing, dogsledding etc. Puzzles were not too hard, definately doable. Best scenery was in the snow with the northern lights. Finally got good weather once we got home, but didn't get to enjoy it...oh well. Definately recommend this game

Great storyline. Interesting graphics and gameplay. Not my usual type of game but a good departure from sweaty FPS gaming. Soundtrack is fantastic. Puzzles are rewarding without being all too easy. A solid recommendation if wanting a story based game with a father role/character lead.
