Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The blueprint for the game was right there in the original, yet despite all modern games seemingly having progression systems, this remake somehow has less/worse progression than the original. It's kindof an uncanny valley situation, where it's so much like the original but just kind of off. It's not outright bad, but it just feels a bit flat. Looks fine if pretty generic, controls ok though I used keyboard controls mapped to a controller. Probably the worst downside is the RNG involved in ammo/nitro crates, since it's not practically possible to open them deliberately. If you're behind the leader you can't rely on being able to pick up a nitro. I've "finished" it at about 4.5 hours with 60% achievements, and getting the rest seems like just kindof a dumb grind, and playing was already kindof just a grind, since there's no real campaign progression, you just play random races till you've had enough.
It's been almost 14 years since I got this game. after playing it today, I got my ass kicked by Barry Wheeler from Alan Wake.

На думку приходять Terraria, State of Decay або навіть ті ж Max Payne 1 та 2 від розробників цього дива.
Death Rally was one of the first games from Remedy that I fell in love with, back when Shareware gaming was a thing. 50, 100+ games on a CD was a thing, and the original Death Rally was one that stuck out. So much so that it was one of the games I begged my old man to pick up for me back when I had to wait for it via snail mail, which I installed on floppy disks. Finding out that there was a modern-day Death Rally had me excited, but it wasn't the same experience. There are cameos, much in the same vein as Duke Nukem showing up in the OG, which is neat. But outside of that there's not much that holds a candle to the original's namesake. The original released in 1996, and had snappier and cleaner controls, a much better soundtrack in comparison to this one's. There were leaderboard rankings showing your progression in comparison to the other racers. There was a Loan Shark that would help you out if you needed the assistance for a race, at a cost (where if you refused to pay him back, he'd ruin your life). The customization of the player's vehicle was every colour under the rainbow, and the vehicles available back then, made sense in terms of their name and their stats. Here? Not so much. There's an attempt at a story but it's barely a step up from the original's "you're racing to be the best gl hf". The controls changed from "Go forward and turn left / right, maybe back up if you need to" to "hold stick in direction to go there". "Gladiatorial" combat levels devolve into "how many doughnuts can my mental state tolerate before I decide to do something productive with my life". I want to go so far as to say that the "Death Rally" comparison between the OG and this one, is horrifically similar to the "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" OG and "Remake" comparison. Same name, but not the same experience. They could've called this "Death Racer", and I'd probably have a better opinion of it. Remedy's a company I hold near and dear to my heart, and given the quality that they've shown old and new IP's (Alan Wake, Control; Hell, even Max Payne's making a comeback), I sincerely hope they revisit this IP and deliver the car-combat game I was hoping for. And for those that made it this far in my review: The original is actually available on Steam, it works *flawlessly*, and definitely worth it.
Just simple fast matches. Big fun, low requirements
NOT RECOMMENDED, NOT EVEN FOR FREE - everything is worse than in the free Death Rally Classic and the controls are so horrendous as the mobile port turning the car is like that of a SHIP and it is utterly uncontrollable. Your turning will never be accurate and there is no getting used to uncontrollable controls like that. Besides the enjoyment-destroying turning controls, the game is super-padded with dull grinding for weapon and car parts that makes no sense in the Death Rally context. This product is ironic in that it looks like they put a lot of work into it to make it worse than the original DOS game. Probably not as intended, though that is how it turned out. The little added content is bizarre (cars that are no better than Deliverator yet take extra grinding to unlock) or pointless (the challenge levels). Most importantly, they ruined the Adversary fight by making it an awful RNG mess where you have to pray for the AI shooting to hit the randomly located boxes on the track for some nitro uses and that you won't randomly slow down for no reason as the game proverbially excretes inside itself. That part of the game is pure suffering. That is probably because the developers failed to program in the mine pushback physics, meaning that there is nothing weapons-wise you can do to slow down the enemy. It moves semi-constantly at roughly 90 % fully upgraded Deliverator on turbo boost speed. It feels like when someone introduces a multiplayer balance patch years later and messes the singleplayer campaign up. It is THAT broken. Avoiding that experience is a great selling point for NOT BUYING THE GAME. The game features tons of random crashing. Mostly when loading a level, though it can happen any time such as when colliding with another car against the railing. This game was not made by Remedy and instead was an outsourced assignment for Cornfox Bros and Mountain Sheep. The outcome shows an utter lack of care for the future of the Death Rally IP. It is full of terrible design ideas (such as the Death Match levels) made in a terrible fashion. The game took 6.0 hours to beat. 1 to 2 hours were spent on trying to defy the RNG gods in that awful, awful Adversary fight. Expect your gameplay to be full of dull grinding, confusion about the unreliable controls and suffering. Stay away if you value your sanity.
The campagin is completely broken in 2026, due to a bug you can't progress past the prologue. After doing the first mission: 'escaping from the cops,' you return to the main menu and have to do the same mission again. Tested on both my Windows 11 PC and and with a friend who also runs Windows 11. There are other bugs with DPI, high resolutions, very wide resolutions, but if you press ALT+ENTER and play in Windowed mode it is OK-ish. The multiplayer does still work, if you and a friend are both online, enter a lobby code and press join at the exact same time, bit fiddly but OK. Car progressions in the multiplayer also still work. I understand this is a very old game, evne the steam version is 12 year old. In my opinion this game should come with a warning so that people understand these problems.
This is a poor remake of the original 1996 Death Rally, but on itself it's a nice arcade game for about 10-15 hours of gameplay. Replayed it twice, had fun both times.
