Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Wildgate is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter with 3 different modes. In Artifact Brawl, be the first to snatch the Artifact and blast through the Wildgate, or destroy the ships of every rival crew to be crowned the winner. Fleet Battle pits two massive teams of up to 12 players each against one another in relentless, action-packed combat. For a more relaxed looting expedition, salvage treasure and escape with the spoils before getting blown up in Treasure Hunt.
Across all modes your ship is your home and lifeline for you and your prospector crew. Keep it topped up with ice, fuel and ammo so you're ready for anyone or anything the Reach throws at you.

Blast your enemies with hi-tech cannons and gadgets, lure them into deadly traps, or even mess with their ship... as long as they don't sabotage yours first. When your perfect plan goes out the airlock, there's only one option... wing it!

Stay one step ahead as you and your crew navigate the Reach — a vast, ever-changing procedurally-generated map that changes with every game.

Choose from a variety of daring prospectors, each with their own abilities and tools. Whether you want to be a brave pilot holding down the ship or a clever trickster boarding enemy ships, there's no wrong way to commit space crimes!

The Reach is a dangerous, unpredictable place, filled with deadly hazards and treasure beyond your wildest dreams. Navigate through cosmic storms, battle space creatures, and plunder ancient alien ruins for lost caches of loot. Just make sure you beat the other prospectors to the punch, or you'll fly away empty-handed!

Reviews
As much as I love the art style and need more games with this setting and art style, it is a dead game. I'd say try making a coop pve shooter as borderlands, try to do it as it was done for Wayfinder.

Кто-то год назад сказал "Играйте в эту игру скорее, пока она не умерла". Вспоминая Guns of Icarus, очень не хотелось, но я ему поверил, и игру купил. Я не сверхзадротиком был. Но когда эта игра была жива - боже, какая же она была весёлая. Даже тогда лобби искало долго, но когда находило - в 90% ты бы кайфанул, даже если бы тебя протаранили лазером в бочину Очень, ОЧЕНЬ надеюсь, что разработчики воскресят игру глобальным апдейтом-другим. Не хочу видеть смерти этого проекта. На сегодняшний день покупать игру НЕ советую. Пальчик вверх ставлю за воспоминания и ностальгию по совсем недавним временам ;-;
Warning: Microtransaction Infested Game This game is infested with a mobile app like cash shop for unlocking in-game currency and features. Whether these are purely cosmetic or they alter your gaming experience significantly, this gamer gouging practice is unethical and insulting to gamers, especially when applied to such a low quality shovelware game. Gamers should be cautious and consider avoiding this game for that reason alone.

Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is a dead PvP game. Why did "Wildgate" fail? Time for a video game autopsy. But a special one... because Wildgate had everything going for it. Ex-Blizzard devs, AAA production values and polish. Spinning the game up feels AAA in every respect. So why could such a game with such polish and pedigree fail? But first we'll just go over what this was before it died. A PvPvE extraction shooter (with no players) with managing resources like ice, fuel, and ammo, and engaging in first-person combat with other players, using cannons and gadgets, boarding enemy ships for loot and upgrades... this should be a license to print money when paired up with those production values. Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. The market for PvP games is crowded and the player base is limited. This game never reached "critical mass", didn't "go viral", and didn't offer anything to differentiate itself enough. Even with no upfront cost, it failed to appeal to gamers for several reasons. There is no real single player content in this game. The developer thought other players could replace actual storytelling and level design. That was a bad bet to make, and yeah, the developer lost. Hard. Without a player base or meaningful solo content (storytelling, narrative, you know, what makes games like GTA famous), the game has nothing to offer. Other players are not a substitute for doing the job of a developer and creating meaningful game content. The biggest killers, however, was the sheer greed of the developers... yes, PvP games can charge an up front price like this did, but they have to be worth it... that is to say, vastly superior to freemium/live service games. This wasn't. And on top of that, they put in a toxic mobile app cash shop on top of the up front price... no limit to the greed of some developers, who don't consider for a minute that us gamers have options... a lot of them. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 175,000+ games on Steam? Wildgate has the completely unrealistic cash grab price of $30 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. For comparison, the $30 asking price for this game could get you games like "Crusader Kings III", "Total War Warhammer III" or "Elden Ring". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. There's enough defects and quality problems with this game that it's really impossible to recommend to gamers. There are over 175,000+ games on Steam, not every one of them is a hidden gem. I'm here to try help gamers find the ones that actually matter in that sea of Steam Direct self published mess. If you don't agree with my findings in this review, you should definitely buy it, download it, and play it to see for yourself (if you can find enough players for a match). I'm happy to have helped you make an informed choice, regardless of the outcome.
I enjoy but waiting for this game to go Free to Play so more people can enjoy it. I feel like it would help the population and get people who haven't played to try it. Plus they will still make money from skins etc.
Третий день бесплатных выходных, третий день невозможно зайти из-за разных ошибок. Что с ВПНом, что без. Печально
