Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Wildgate is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter with 3 different modes. In Artifact Brawl, be the first to snatch the Artifact and blast through the Wildgate, or destroy the ships of every rival crew to be crowned the winner. Fleet Battle pits two massive teams of up to 12 players each against one another in relentless, action-packed combat. For a more relaxed looting expedition, salvage treasure and escape with the spoils before getting blown up in Treasure Hunt.
Across all modes your ship is your home and lifeline for you and your prospector crew. Keep it topped up with ice, fuel and ammo so you're ready for anyone or anything the Reach throws at you.

Blast your enemies with hi-tech cannons and gadgets, lure them into deadly traps, or even mess with their ship... as long as they don't sabotage yours first. When your perfect plan goes out the airlock, there's only one option... wing it!

Stay one step ahead as you and your crew navigate the Reach — a vast, ever-changing procedurally-generated map that changes with every game.

Choose from a variety of daring prospectors, each with their own abilities and tools. Whether you want to be a brave pilot holding down the ship or a clever trickster boarding enemy ships, there's no wrong way to commit space crimes!

The Reach is a dangerous, unpredictable place, filled with deadly hazards and treasure beyond your wildest dreams. Navigate through cosmic storms, battle space creatures, and plunder ancient alien ruins for lost caches of loot. Just make sure you beat the other prospectors to the punch, or you'll fly away empty-handed!

It was a super fun game for the first couple weeks after release. Eventually it didn't feel like there was anything significant to grind for. The in general gameplay loop is fun, its just heavily reliant on a coherent team. Now unfortunately the game is dead. No more than maybe 8-20 players on a good day. It's not even enough to fill a match consistently. The devs didn't advertise this enough, the price range was to high for the kind of game it was, no communication when player count started slipping to make a plan to save it. I wouldn't be surprised if the servers shut down within the next few years from lack of players. If they made it F2P and advertised the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, I don't even know if that would save it at this point. The company's lack of communication and effort to save it isn't a good sign as a whole.

It's a really fun game that really just suffers from the small player-base. The cruising is fun and the high stress ship-to-ship combat gets to breathe with smaller PvE segments and traveling downtime that isn't too overwhelming.
Game's really, really good. Genuinely should check it out. Queue times have dropped dramatically since going F2P on Epic. Again, game is actually really good, very fun.
Un très bon jeu... mais qui est mort à cause de la gestion catastrophique de son studio
Great game, hope it finds a larger player base!
Купил игру, через пол месяца померла. Сейчас раздали в EGS. 0/10 хотя бы сундуков за покупку( А сама игра крутая. Особенно с добавлением новых режимов и соло корабля!
Great game and even greater devs. The game feels smooth to play and runs well, at least on my PC, but I’m not a tech guy, so I won’t comment on that any further. AMAZING ART DIRECTION, COLOURS, AND DESIGN — BOTH VISUAL AND AUDIO. IT IS ONE OF THE PRETTIEST GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!! The developers clearly care, even though morale must be low due to the small player numbers. From my experience, and from what Steam Charts and similar sites show, the player count is consistently around 50 people at most times. If we add cross-platform console players, we may be looking at around 100–200 people at any given moment. The lack of players is, in my opinion, the only thing holding this game back. I attribute this to the very niche genre the game decided to join. A mix of slow looting and collecting, the rush of the chase when someone grabs the artefact and tries to escape, extremely fast-paced (too fast-paced for me) person-to-person boarding combat, and slower, much more my speed, ship-to-ship combat can be difficult to adjust to for some players. Some of my buddies want to focus on ship-to-ship combat, while others want to focus on boarding and blasting enemies. This wouldn’t usually be a problem, but the game requires a lot of teamwork and communication. That can make the game a little difficult for me to enjoy at times. HOWEVER, there are many game modes that allow me to play how I want. There are fast-paced artefact brawls, where the first crew through the gate with the artefact wins, and slower PvE modes like Treasure Hunt, where you just collect treasure and leave whenever you want (my favourite). Then there’s the middle child — Fleet Battle — which strikes a good balance. All ships are split into two teams and fight to score points, with the first team to reach the required score winning. Ships respawn quickly, so it’s fast-paced, but with less stress, allowing different playstyle groups to enjoy their own thing even while on the same crew. Overall, a 9/10 game. Very excited to see what the future holds. ALSO, the devs are active on Discord, and there’s a very nice community there. They even host play-with-the-devs game nights! Really sweet all around. Did I mention how gorgeous this game is?!?! Any Spelljammer fan will love this.
as someone who doesnt really enjoy FPS games its really fun so far playing solo or with friends
For context : Me and my friends tried the game during the double xp and free-play week-end. We found the 1st Tutorial to be OK. But the second one was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ long and didn't add anything of use to the first. So the fact it was mandatory was a pain. We then tried to play using the matchmaking. Couldn't find a match in more than 15min of waiting.... That's when I checked SteamCharts and saw the game was basically dead. Shame cause it sure looked good. Although the gameplay was much too slow to my liking.
