Wildermyth follows heroes over their whole careers, from their pitchfork days to their powerful primes, and on into old age and memory. It’s a party-based procedural storytelling RPG where tactical combat and story decisions will alter your world and reshape your cast of characters.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 2.67/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Charming, whimsical, and relatively straightforward. Lots of potential gameplay and story crafting. I love my Hall of Heroes, and revisiting and exploring their relationships, experiences, etc.
I didn’t expect Wildermyth to hook me the way it did. The art style leans more toward storybook charm than high-detail realism (I usually gravitate toward something like Baldur’s Gate 3), but it completely won me over once I got into it. What really stands out is how personal the storytelling feels. Your characters don’t just level up, they change. Choices shape their personalities, relationships, and even their physical forms in ways that feel meaningful rather than cosmetic. The interactions between characters, and between characters and the world, create these emergent little narrative moments that feel uniquely yours. The legacy system is the real magic, though. Taking a favorite hero from one campaign into the next—and watching their story continue to evolve over time - adds a sense of continuity and attachment that most RPGs never quite achieve. If you enjoy character-driven stories, meaningful choices, and a bit of procedural storytelling magic, Wildermyth is an easy recommendation.

Wonderful music and storytelling. It's tense and exciting, yet relaxing to play. And I love the amount of customization for characters.
Regardless of what you feel about the graphics, Try This Game!

The Combat
Is very enjoyable, offering enough depth to be challenging while remaining simple and engaging. Your options during combat constantly change depending on a multitude of factors, keeping each encounter fresh. Since losing a party member is a big deal, losing is simply not an option which makes every decision exciting.
Handcrafted, Procedural, and Player-Created Stories
Each decision you make, either in the story, campaign map, equipment or in a battle... can change your story dramatically and unique stories will be made one way or another cause you gonna have to deal with dillemas, act strategically and hopefully win (or fail). One of these stories that happened naturally: The son of my two main characters traveled to a distant region to recruit a new member. He found one - a hothead who didn't like him from the start, yet in a brawl impressed my son, so he joined us. The son trained and equipped him. They headed back to the party, but on the route back we were alerted of an incoming invasion. The duo diverted to help since they were nearby. The region was only lightly fortified. They arrived before the invaders, and luckily the villagers came out to fight alongside them, because the duo would never stand a chance alone. Even with preparations and an ambush set... the invasion was overwhelming. Monsters killed all of the villagers. The hothead fought off multiple beasts, yet fell — but before he went out, he took the creature that killed him down with him. The villagers were dead. The hothead died on his first adventure. But the son, with barely any health left, struck the last enemy with a lucky arrow — saving the region and stopping the invasion from ravaging further into our lands. I'm still debating whether I could truly call this a victory, since everyone died but the son. 10/10 game.
Plays like a TableTop RolePlaying Game, complete with a DM narrating your encounters and escapades between battles mixed with grid-based combat. Characters from past campaigns can make appearances in future ones with some of their abilities or you can start with a fresh cast each time. You can have up to 5 player coop but from experimentation with TTRPG focused friends 3 people seems to be the practical limit. With more than 3 player turns slow to a crawl while everyone discusses and agrees on actions, though with more casual players you might be able to go to 5 without taking too long. Overall a highly enjoyable and replayable game your TTRPG nerd friends will enjoy
I couldn't recommend Wildermyth enough. There's something here for everyone. The combat and overworld management offer an xcom-like strategy experience where poor decision making could lead to maiming your most useful hero, or becoming too overwhelmed by enemy forces to reach the next chapter in your campaign. The loot and character ability progression allow you to control what each characters strengths, weaknesses, and specializations are so you can prepare them for the games varied enemy types. Where I think this game shines the best is in it's procedural story telling. As your campaign unravels your characters progress through story events that test their personality, progress their relationships, and transform the characters either physically or by way of acquiring augments or pets. It's this part of the game that is the most fun to me, and most of the time I'm more worried about making decisions (in and out of battle) that are true to the characters and their group dynamic. While this ends in more failed campaigns than there would be if I just made the most strategical decision I find that getting attached to the characters in this way is the most satisfying personally. I cannot recommend Wildermyth enough as well as it's two dlcs. It is a fantastic game with 100s of hours of gameplay and replay value..
Super fun
This game is addictive. If you've ever played DND, like party based games, ever read choose your adventures and just like fantasy storytelling. This game is for you, you can play it over and over all the stories feel uniqure, the transformations and different choices are a ton of fun. I'm not even doing a big story campagin at the moment but just the free play stuff incredible. I've clocked 15 hours in 36 hours of owning the game.
