Possibly the greatest game of all time. 8/10 Absolute Creamer!
*Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus?* is a short FMV mystery that I would recommend, but mainly to people who already enjoy this kind of game. The setup is fun: a family quiz over video call slowly turns into a murder mystery when Uncle Marcus tells Abby that someone poisoned him. I liked how awkward the family felt. Everyone smiles, jokes and argues like a normal messy family, but underneath that, almost everyone seems suspicious. Abby has to keep playing along while secretly gathering clues, which gives the game a nice uncomfortable feeling. Uncle Marcus is probably the most likable part. He feels warm, strange and a little sad, like the only person in the family who still wants some real connection. Because of that, trying to save him gives the story some heart. The rest of the family are more exaggerated, but that also makes them entertaining. The problem is that the mystery is not very deep. A lot of the game feels more like collecting conversations than truly investigating. Replaying to find evidence can also become repetitive, even with the skip function. Still, the acting is fun, the family drama is amusing, and the short length helps it avoid becoming too tiring. It is not amazing, but it is a decent, funny little FMV mystery.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's more of a mixed review than a negative one, as I enjoyed the game from the beginning through the mid-game. However, my experience was hindered by the lack of features that a game built around the premise of looping should have, such as decision and choice tracking. The game took me around six hours to complete, but I feel it should have taken less than three. The lack of choice and decision tracking made the experience feel tedious and repetitive, forcing me to sit through many of the same events over and over again. While the game does provide a skip feature, it isn't enough to compensate for the limited variety between loops. I wouldn't recommend it if you have other alternative FMVs to play.
the choices are very weak and the endings are stupid
It's terrible. The story goes nowhere and seems like a bad comedy, every character is unlikeable. It froze 3 times during my play through and had to quit and reload each time. I have no desire to keep playing to see the other endings.
Sadly cant recommend this game. The premise is ok, but the options are way to linear and too far inbetween to feel impactful. You just keep picking an option you havent tried yet just to hear almost the same words but with something else maybe thrown in. After a while i just ending skipping scene after scene till finally i unlocked something to accuse the next person until you finally get the last...
The format is simply not my taste. Forcing options onto me without giving any clues. There are no puzzles to solve, only scenes to watch and the game expect you to brute force the clues out instead of making actual deduction. All you need to do is to aimlessly explore all video scenes until you find a possible answer and accuse. Thehttps://store.steampowered.com/app/1628130/Who_Pressed_Mute_on_Uncle_Marcus/#re is an achievement to accuse all characters available, that alone should telegraph what they have in mind when designing the game. This is just a Video CYOA game requiring multiple runs to get the answer. No puzzle and no deduction at all.
Je me suis ennuyée, et l'intrigue ne m'a pas passionnée. Jeu désinstallé avant de connaitre le coupable !
Holy ♥♥♥♥ how do you code a game this bad that is basically just a VN. First time playing crashed my entire PC after like 20mins in when I assume it was doing some sort of story check. Upon reboot it didn't save any progress despite saying resume. Second time playing I kept task manager open and it would constantly spike to 60-80% of my cpu. Then once again after a little over an hour it crashed my pc again. I run a Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2GHHz cpu, with 64GB of DDR5 ram and a RX 7900 XTX 24GB GPU. There is nothing about this genre of game that should be causing these issues. Seriously wtf.
Far more entertaining and enjoyable than I could have anticipated. I legitimately laughed at a good amount of the jokes. While trying to get enough clues was difficult on two of the characters, overall, this was a delight. To those complaining that you have to play through it multiple times, there is a skip option for the scenes you've already seen.
