What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state. As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 13.86/day in the week to Aug 22 → 25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I completed it in under an hour, and I was taking my time. What even is this? Playing this game is the same as picking up a sleepy sad novel that is only 10 pages long. I'm only glad I got it on sale and only paid £3 for it. Wish I had bought a coffee instead.
I usually don't write very serious reviews for games. When I do play games I mostly just spend my time having fun, not really caring for the story or little intricate details and such. When I went into this game, I had that mindset. I thought I would just play the game, get all the achievements, and that would be it. But for me to even call this a game, I feel would be a SEVERE understatement of what this game has made me and many others feel. Everything about this work of art is truly beautiful, the stories of each family member, the things that happened to them, and how it has effected not only them but us as the player. To say this game deeply saddened me would not match how heartbroken and impacted I was after seeing such sad and unfair stories for all these people who have done no wrong. It's message is clear, there is no reason for death. It is completely random and despite how much we try to justify it or find out why it happens, we cannot. As much as the Finches tried to do so, eventually, at the end of their bloodline, they learned that there is no reason for death. When we lose something or someone that we have loved our entire lives, it hurts us. We try to find a reasoning for this, that they died for a cause, but in reality, there is none. It is better for us to remember all the memories we had with them, good or bad, and to accept that they are no longer with us. I hope that, when I eventually must deal with my own grief, I will hold this lesson close to my heart, maybe I will return to these stories. But all that I do know for now is that I will be prepared. I sincerely thank you, Giant Sparrow, for making something that I will remember forever.
What remains of life when you begin to think only of death? The true curse of living is the exact moment we realize our own mortality. It raises the question: should parents protect their children from this inevitable outcome? In brilliant ways, this game captures the madness of humanity's own finitude: whether it’s the despair when one's success feels entirely impossible to reach again, the urge to eat just to forget one's death, or the coping mechanism of building an entirely new world in one's mind to escape reality. Because of its heavy themes, this isn't a game I would recommend to anyone. However, for everyone else, the experience is unique. It is one of the best storytelling games I have ever played so far, with interactive cutscenes using different approaches for each short story. Go for it!

A wonderful story wrapped in a beautifully crafted experience. What Remains of Edith Finch is atmospheric, creative, and deeply emotional, with each story feeling unique while contributing to a larger, unforgettable narrative. A short but truly memorable experience that stays with you long after the credits.
