About
Warhounds is a turn-based tactical & strategy game, inspired by XCOM and Jagged Alliance, about a mercenary squad with an old-school action movie vibe. Command an elite team of bold, stylish operators, wage a campaign in an alternate-future Africa, and decide the war’s outcome mission by mission.
Calculate lines of fire and flank angle, break cover, and seize the high ground. Every turn is decided more by your planning and tactics, less - by RNG.
Combine classes: Assault, Specialist, Sniper, Machine Gunner, and Grenadier. Pick the right gear for the job, treat and extract, and protect key operatives. Take calculated risks. High combat lethality makes every decision count.
Recruit, upgrade, purchase equipment, and handle logistics, finances, medical supplies, and downtime. Choose allied factions, build relationships, gather intel, and execute covert ops. Your choices have consequences: your decisions determine your access to missions, gear, and allies.
Deploy drones, combat scanners, smoke, and optical camo. Upgrade and improve your kit to win under any conditions.
Knock out a mission in 25-40 minutes, or settle in for a long session. Customize the challenge: go for a brutal tactical hell or a light, relaxing run.
No point-blank misses - flank + close distance = 100% hit chance.
Real ballistics, destructible cover, vertical gameplay, and cone overwatch.
Mercenaries with character and mission-focused loadouts without any busywork.
Base management, contracts, budgets, allies, and consequences for your actions.
Assemble your squad. Take the contract. Decide Africa’s future beyond 2035.

Really good atmosphric game with well thought out mechanics and nice sharp graphics. Just dont expect polished AAA quality from this but it is still an absolutely great adventur for a few nights

The first impression didn't exactly blow me away. But I’m still playing - game looks solid
People complaining about the lack of originality are expecting way too much from the genre. What exactly should they do? Replace soldiers with chess pieces? Warhounds has some interesting interactions. The story is fine. A lot of combat gear, interesting skills (sniper’s triple shot is my favorite so far)
Très bon jeu, graphismes très bien faits, et une jouabilité très proche de XCOM.
fun game just watch your expenses they roll fast
Great game! It’s a little buggy and crashed a few times, which was frustrating, but overall it’s still a really fun turn-based shooter. Hopefully the devs can iron out some of the bugs in future updates. Despite the issues, I’d still recommend giving it a try—although I’d probably suggest picking it up on sale. One thing that really bothered me, though, is the camera. The angles can be pretty wonky at times, and after you select your actions, you’re forced to watch the entire action sequence from whatever awkward camera angle was set beforehand. It can be a bit anti-climactic when you’re trying to enjoy watching your character absolutely obliterate the bad guys! Overall, though, I’m having a lot of fun with it. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy turn-based shooters. Ratings 8/10 for those of you who loves turn-based shooters.
Launch was rough for me. Had several crashes during my first sessions and was seriously considering a refund. Decided to wait for the first patches because I actually liked the combat. Good decision. The latest hotfix fixed the crashes on my machine completely. Haven't had one since. Still plenty of stuff I'd like improved, but at least now I'm spending my time complaining about balance instead of crashes. 😂
Czekałem od dawna na turową gre która mnie tak wciągnie :) POLECAM !!!!
Good Game, XCOM, JA, you know what I'm talkin bout. You like those, you get this!
