Do you like Warhammer? Do you think gaming peaked in 2009? If so you will love Warhammer 40k fire warrior. It's like Star Wars Republic Commando before Star wars Republic commando. This is my favorite warhammer game, and I do have quite a few of those lying around. 10/7 gue'la's.

I'm reviewing this positively because I love the T'au, I love classic shooters, and I just genuinely had fun with this game despite its many flaws. I completely get everyone who says that this game is bad, or even that it's just mid. In fact, I kind of agree; objectively, there's nothing special about this game. There's no music, the dialogue is repetitive, the controls are a touch wonky, and the story is better delivered in the novelization. But my main complaint is with the set pieces and the weapons. This is a T'au game. You play as a T'au warrior and answer to a T'au commander... except you will, for the most part, be using Imperium weapons. Your favorite weapons will be the lasgun, the autogun, the bolter, and then eventually the railgun, which is the only T'au gun you'll actually get consistent ammo for. The environment is almost completely composed of Imperium infrastructure, and you'll only spend the first half actually fighting the Imperium because, of course, they can't just lose a battle and have to team up with the player against Chaos. It feels as though this game would be almost no different if you were just a guardsman rather than a fire warrior. Simply reskin all of the enemies in the first half to be Chaos-based, edit the ship battle maps a little, and then change basically nothing else.
