Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition

Наконец-то про игру вспомнили и получилось +- то чего все ждали много лет. Могли сделать больше и лучше, но меня устраивает и в таком виде. Больше всего понравилось: + Добавили ачивки, причем и для основной игры, и для всех DLC. + Играть в компании разных DLC можно прямо из меню, не перезапуская разные игры. + Расширили технические возможности игры, раньше исправляли модами, сейчас установил и играешь без лишней мысли. Кажется крупные моды теперь работают стабильнее, ещё не играл. + Переосмысление баланса и исправление старых багов. + Ремастер карт и в целом улучшение графики пошло только на пользу реиграбельности игре, которой 20+ лет.

One of the greatest RTS games of all time. This game is what got me into Warhammer back when I was a kid. The original dawn of war still to this very day beats it's sequels by miles. I'm hoping Dawn of War 4 is a return to it's roots, but, we'll see... I doubt it'll beat the original. Anyways, I'm glad this was remade (again... Hopefully it'll be the last time lol) and that there was a permanent -30% off for people who already owned the anniversary edition of the game. For 20 dollars it's a steal. I've made worse purchases with 20 dollars. I'm for once playing through the actual campaigns for the very first time (i really only ever played skirmish battles) and while they can be difficult at times (i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate the tau with every fiber of my being, ♥♥♥♥ THE TAU!), it's a lot of fun. I recently put in another 80+ hours alone just from the campaigns in the past week or two...Maybe 3? i don't really know, it's been a blur lol. I wake up, I play this game, I lose track of time, then I go to bed and the cycle repeats. I'm working on dark crusade now. I beat all of the original, winter assault and I plan on beating all of dark crusade (all 7 factions. I'm up to 5 at the moment..Working on the tau...Once again, ♥♥♥♥ THE TAU!) then moving onto soulstorms campaign. I'm looking forward to it and doing it for the achievements eventually.

截止2026年7月18日为止把本篇+3个资料片的战役里面所有派系剧情都玩通了一遍，难度选的最低难度（中等难度是玩不了的，敌人攻势太猛太快，根本不给你时间集结大部队，而且防御力高很难打死），和以前玩的盗版相比无作弊手段可用，要多花些时间，不过也增加了不少乐趣。高清化让部队和建筑的大小更为合理，镜头也可以拉的远一点，更容易框选大部队了。美中不足的是《灵魂风暴》的战役存在偶尔卡死崩溃的BUG，《暗黑圣战》也碰上过一次，但本篇和《冬季攻势》没有出现此BUG。要注意随时存档，可以防止出现BUG时导致战役进度丢失。总之对我来说是个经典的好游戏，RTS老玩家应该都会喜欢。

Please, don't buy this game. It's a massive waste of money. This is just a cheap, lazy rip-off of the old Warhammer 40k and its last addons eg: Soulstorm. They didn't even bother to fix half the original bugs, and they added ZERO new units or mechanics. It looks like they just slapped an AI upscale on the old textures and called it a day. On top of that, there is NO Steam Workshop support, meaning you have to manually hunt down and download mods from the internet like it's 2008. The community moderation is absolutely unhinged and Karenianeted. Any valid criticism in the patch discussions equals an instant permaban. No warnings, no 24-hour or 1 week suspensions (wich would be cruel anyway for the free speech) - just an instant, permanent ban. This game is a total scam. They basically just bundled the 2004 base game with its 3 expansions into one package. Keep in mind, these are NOT the same people who created the original 2004 Dawn of War masterpiece. These are completely different developers with entirely different priorities. And their priority definitely isn't the gamers or the quality of the product = it's just about milking the franchise for a quick buck. It’s an incredibly lazy cash grab aimed at tricking loyal fans into buying the exact same game twice (giving off massive our sweet Lord Todd Howard/Bethesda "buy Skyrim again" energy lol). If you do buy it, expect a dead multiplayer with maybe 200-300 people online, and 90% of them are hardcore 10+ year veterans who will just stomp you (most likely you will be just booted from 80% lobbies). Save your cash. Just wait for Dawn of War 4... assuming it isn't another massive flop (which, sadly, it probably will be). Watch me get censored or banned for this review, just like anyone else who dares to criticize them. It seems to be standard procedure for both this company and most of toxic woke companies nowadays. But whatever - the truth demands a sacrifice.

every update they keep "rebalancing" (nerfing) all the factions and dont even give you the option to use balancing from the original games. the quality of life changes are nice (i'd even ignore the fact that they just lazily used AI to upscale all the ingame textures) but if you're switching from DoW classic to this its not going to play at all like the originals. you could argue that balancing is just one thing and that the positives outweigh the negatives, except that balancing makes up a huge portion of the actual gameplay and, at least to me, is far more important than QoL. sure the game looks and feels nice but if every faction plays like ♥♥♥♥ compared to the originals then its not worth it.

Its the same great game from 2006 or 2005. Back when games put everything on the table without asking for more money for some feature or cosmetic. It sucked me in again, though I dont recall the story from 20 years ago, I recall I beat the game. They increased some of the visuals, but some of the textures are lacking and it still certainly looks like a game from 2006, but the mechanics, story, and gameplay survive and surpass a lot of whats on offer today.
