⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Players in the game will be able to play on multiple battlefields of the Maryland Campaign, from the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers where the Siege of Harper's Ferry took place, to the ridgelines of South Mountain, and to the meandering waters of Antietam Creek at the Battle of Antietam.
Additionally, players will also be able to choose from a list of regiments that fought in each battle as well as what rank to fight as, whether they want to slog it out as a lowly private, or if you want to orchestrate the carnage and mayhem as a major general.
Uniforms and bodily features will all be customizable for other players to see as you march and fight in the lines of battle according to the tactics of the period. As a General, you will operate in your headquarters equipped with a map of the battlefield and constantly receiving reports of friendly and enemy positions. Send out new orders to the regiments to move forward, or fall back - all in real time. The orders will move down the chain of command, to the Colonels, Majors, down to the Captains in charge of the individual regiments, all of whom have the option to follow the orders of their trusted commander, or rebel against his wishes and fight as you see fit.
Each map contains a period reconstruction of the buildings, farms, forests, roads, and rocks as they were in 1862 so players can fight through the streets of Harper's Ferry, in the wooded heights of Fox's Gap at South Mountain, or in the cornfields and Bloody Lanes of Antietam. Players can feel the whiz of deadly shot and shell fly by their bodies, or hit their comrades or themselves as they scream in a bloody hail from their wounds. Limbs will fly and blood will be spilt once again as Campfire Games brings the fighting of the Civil War right to the player's computer screen!
Will you heed the Union call against the traitors? Or will you fight to defend your family and livelihood with the Confederacy? You decide!

Reviews
Should have wrote this review a very long time ago. First off: This game is VERY accurate to the civil war combat--musket rifles have to be reloaded after every shot, you can only aim down sights, and you have to work and coordinate with your team to create firing lines. Enemies can rush your position when you're busy reloading and bayonette charges are both terrifying and effective at breaking a firing line. When using artillery you need at least two people--one to prime, load and ready the cannon and the other to aim and fire it. The negative review comes mainly from the communities I've encountered who play this game. A vast majority of people who play this game get too hardcore into the mentality of the time of the civil war. I have been in both games AND discords where people casually toss out the derogative N-word slur as if it is an acceptable term. Until I see some kind of hard stance on this racist crap (I don't care if people are 'roleplaying' or trying to be authentic, you never use that word--even in a roleplay environment--the word is considered a 'forbidden' word for a bloody reason) then this game will never grace my computer ever again.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reminded me the good old times playing Mount and Blade Mod:Napoleonic wars. Reminded me of the good old days playing the Mount & Musket Mod: Napoleonic Wars. We were Uhlans, ruining the game for everyone else. Currently, there is no cavalry, so I hope the devs add it soon — it’s already on the roadmap. A huge thumbs up for adding limited-time events like Halloween and the Fourth of July. They keep the game feeling fresh.

In a time where whites were fighting over slavery! But your not allowed to be racist in game
One of the best historical war games out there, the size of the battles, horses, cannons, massive groups of men. It even makes you work with your team mates instead of ramboing out there with alone which most games dont really focus on. Kickstarted it back in the day when there wasnt much to the game, proud of where it has come, but one down side can be toxic but most fps games have that, but the good guys playin, outweighs the toxic bs. 100% worth if you enjoy these games.

I wouldn't play again, and runs horribly on my computer. Every officer except one was a whiny ♥♥♥♥♥
Fight in the battles your forefathers did!
Fun game for those who like history, if you dislike being told what to do and generally having to follow orders, maybe avoid. The community is also generally fun to engage with, However I would recommend joining a regiment for the full experience
rebel yell is 10/10
