From the ex-Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive team comes a janky love letter to PS2-era action. Play a week in the life of the Zombie Unit: an elite Hong Kong police squad carving through a corporate conspiracy in a storm of swordplay and gunfire. Stylish, brutal, and absolutely not for everyone.

Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A cult classic.
Wanted: Dead is a hybrid slasher/shooter that plays like a lost PS2 disc someone dared to actually finish. It's a hard, weird, gorgeous action game with zero interest in being for everyone. Built by veterans of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, it fuses razor-precise swordplay with third-person gunfire in a combat system that rewards you for being reckless and stylish at the same time.
Combat with teeth.
Chain melee and gunplay into brutal, screen-filling combos. Parry, dismember, and finish enemies with executions that are as grotesque as they are satisfying. Slow the chaos to a crawl in bullet time and then punish everything on screen. The fights are demanding and occasionally unfair.
A week in the life of the Zombie Unit.
You are Lt. Hannah Stone, leading an elite Hong Kong police squad through a neon-soaked corporate conspiracy. It's a linear and story-rich campaign that swerves without warning from grim ultraviolence to something stranger.
Unapologetically weird.
This is a game where you'll finish a brutal boss fight and then sit down to a lovingly rendered ramen-eating minigame, or a round of karaoke, or an arcade cabinet. The whiplash isn't a bug, it's the personality. It's scrappy, pulpy, and self-aware.
Rough around the edges. On purpose.
Wanted: Dead is niche, distinctive, and proud of its jank. If you grew up on Deadly Premonition, Vanquish, and Lollipop Chainsaw and you've been missing games with this much attitude: welcome home.
Key Features.
Melee that means it: A deep hack-and-slash system with a huge move set and finishers built to slice, dice, and dismember.
Guns in the same breath: Flow straight from the blade into a handpicked arsenal of assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and grenade launchers. Melee and gunplay are one nasty rhythm.
50+ brutal finishers: Over fifty unique execution moves, each more grotesque than the last. Deeply unnecessary and yet absolutely the point.
Neon and grime: A cyberpunk Hong Kong where high-tech hardware collides with retro '90s futurism.
A story that swerves: Ride with the Zombie Unit as they pull apart a massive corporate conspiracy in a dystopian Hong Kong. Linear, story-rich, and prone to going somewhere strange.
Genuinely hardcore: These fights will not be kind to you. Steel up and use everything around you to cut through hordes of mercenaries, synthetics, and private security who very much want you dead.
Old-school beat 'em up, modern edge: Wade in, take everything down, keep moving. It's the beat 'em up you grew up on dragged into the present with more blood and better toys.
A love letter to the sixth console generation: Made for anyone who still misses the PS2 era when action games were weird, scrappy, and cool.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

This game wants to be another game, but falls flat and unfocused. Resources like ammo are scarce, medkits are rare, and healing is a luxury. Also, the skill tree is shallow and barely affects gameplay. Story is a mess—3D combat, 2D anime cutscenes, random flashbacks with no cohesion. Hack-and-slash controls are clunky, unresponsive, and artificially difficult. 🚮 Don't waste your time.
An underrated game, but with its own problems.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Holy Slop Art
Muito melhor do que eu imaginava.
I have 30+ hours on Xbox, have cleared Japanese Hard with no deaths. I am recommending this game because it's one of my favourite action games, and I don't wanna contribute at all to sabotaging it. That said, on my above recommended specs PC, the game is unplayable. Even on scenes where nothing happens, I get below 40 fps with insane dips to less than 10 a lot of the time. My literally 30 minutes on this game were all horrible, optimization wise. On console, I also get big dips and even had this one section where the game ran at like 5 FPS until I died (and I also learnt that the games physics are tied to the FPS, so the game is slowed down instead of just being choppy), but the game is easily playable 98% of the time. If you looked at the recommended specs and said, oh this is gonna be fine, it isn't. Either play this game with a beast PC or on console. For the "actual" game, the combat is fantastic, the theme is insane, the story is insane and somehow emotional, all the characters are likeable. Aim slowdown is a bit overpowered, parries could be toned down, but these are very minor issues and you still got a fun, stylish game where you have to use your brain to win. Definitely recommend going not only for a Japanese Hard clear, but a 1cc specifically, I believe that's what the developers intended for multiple reasons. This isn't Ninja Gaiden but it's also nothing else ever made. P.S; if you're gonna play this game, you should 100% check out the video "How to play Wanted: Dead". A lot of people are gonna try this game because of Mark but watching him play, he doesn't use all of the more advanced (and super fun) techniques, and these are all shown on the aforementioned video.
Style over substance in every definition of the phrase. The gameplay is janky and repetitive but every other aspect of the game is just jaw droppingly absurd in the best way possible. The Catalinaville-tier writing and voice acting makes this one of the funniest games I've ever played. For the cherry on top, the director of the game voices a character AND sings the majority of the tracks on the in-game jukebox. Why? Why not? But most importantly, who cares? Wanted Dead does not ask these questions, and just *does*, and you are just here for the ride. Enjoy it while it lasts, its a pretty short game.
First game I have ever refunded. Usually, by the time I've made up my mind that I don't like a game, I'm well past the 2 hour mark to return it. This one, I was fully confident it was not for me after 15 minutes. I'm not saying everyone will feel the same way I do, but the controls were absolutely terrible. The game is clunky, unintuitive, unpolished, and feels unfinished. I only watched a little bit of intro story and dialogue, but suffice it to say I wasn't inspired to stick it out for the story.
