From the ex-Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive team comes a janky love letter to PS2-era action. Play a week in the life of the Zombie Unit: an elite Hong Kong police squad carving through a corporate conspiracy in a storm of swordplay and gunfire. Stylish, brutal, and absolutely not for everyone.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A cult classic.
Wanted: Dead is a hybrid slasher/shooter that plays like a lost PS2 disc someone dared to actually finish. It's a hard, weird, gorgeous action game with zero interest in being for everyone. Built by veterans of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, it fuses razor-precise swordplay with third-person gunfire in a combat system that rewards you for being reckless and stylish at the same time.
Combat with teeth.
Chain melee and gunplay into brutal, screen-filling combos. Parry, dismember, and finish enemies with executions that are as grotesque as they are satisfying. Slow the chaos to a crawl in bullet time and then punish everything on screen. The fights are demanding and occasionally unfair.
A week in the life of the Zombie Unit.
You are Lt. Hannah Stone, leading an elite Hong Kong police squad through a neon-soaked corporate conspiracy. It's a linear and story-rich campaign that swerves without warning from grim ultraviolence to something stranger.
Unapologetically weird.
This is a game where you'll finish a brutal boss fight and then sit down to a lovingly rendered ramen-eating minigame, or a round of karaoke, or an arcade cabinet. The whiplash isn't a bug, it's the personality. It's scrappy, pulpy, and self-aware.
Rough around the edges. On purpose.
Wanted: Dead is niche, distinctive, and proud of its jank. If you grew up on Deadly Premonition, Vanquish, and Lollipop Chainsaw and you've been missing games with this much attitude: welcome home.
Key Features.
Melee that means it: A deep hack-and-slash system with a huge move set and finishers built to slice, dice, and dismember.
Guns in the same breath: Flow straight from the blade into a handpicked arsenal of assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and grenade launchers. Melee and gunplay are one nasty rhythm.
50+ brutal finishers: Over fifty unique execution moves, each more grotesque than the last. Deeply unnecessary and yet absolutely the point.
Neon and grime: A cyberpunk Hong Kong where high-tech hardware collides with retro '90s futurism.
A story that swerves: Ride with the Zombie Unit as they pull apart a massive corporate conspiracy in a dystopian Hong Kong. Linear, story-rich, and prone to going somewhere strange.
Genuinely hardcore: These fights will not be kind to you. Steel up and use everything around you to cut through hordes of mercenaries, synthetics, and private security who very much want you dead.
Old-school beat 'em up, modern edge: Wade in, take everything down, keep moving. It's the beat 'em up you grew up on dragged into the present with more blood and better toys.
A love letter to the sixth console generation: Made for anyone who still misses the PS2 era when action games were weird, scrappy, and cool.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Piece of janky crap. Controller sucks for aiming, kb and mouse sucks for everything else. If you're a sweaty gamer willing to do mental gymnastics to call this a game, move out of your parents' basement and get a life. Now I understand why there is no demo: no one would buy this crap after playing it for a few minutes. Hope you enjoy the money I was scammed out of, devs.
Muy buen hack n slash, si acaso un poco dificil para principiantes y bastante rencoroso con los recursos que tienes a mano, pero generalmente hablando es bastante bueno.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Jogo divertido para quem gosta de muita ação. O jogo é basicamente ação pura.
I got this game in a bundle thinking it would be a good time despite the jank or that the game would be "so bad it's good". Turns out it's just plain bad. I wasn't going to review the game or anything but changing the store banner to ai slop is just shameful. I'm never giving this another chance and will definitely avoid the devs in the future.
This game is as advertised: A lot of (sometimes frustrating) jagged edges, tonal whiplash, and probably the hardest QTE minigames I've ever had the misfortune of playing. It's also going to stick with me long after I put it down, because once you piece the timeline together and figure out the implications of it all, it's a pitch black cyberpunk storyline. The combat is quite enjoyable too, hard as hell (fortunately not as much as the minigames), but fernetic and constantly switching from ranged and melee, and taking on absurd numbers of enemies with your team (who cannot die, points for that alone), yeah, if the store page appeals to you- I say give it a shot. I've paid far more for games that were completely forgettable, but this one is going to stick with me. I'll come back for Japanese Hard difficulty someday.
Very solid game with many technical issues. The positives are the combat and the overall vibes of the game. If you want something like Devil's Third (which imo is decent), along with some unlockables and minigames, then this is for you. The negatives are the technical issues, which are many. Achievements are not working, I have to run it on compatibility mode + admin mode, sometimes the game freezes or crashes, optimization is all over the place. I give this a 8.5, but just because I'm really liking it. Otherwise, I wouldn't give it more than 6, because of the technical issues.
tl;dr: Over the top 80's/90's action flick love letter. It's hard, short but awesome! Detailed review: One of the games that doesn't holds hands and therefore gets branded as a bad game by video game journalists and button mashers alike. Wanted: Dead is a game similar to Metal Gear Rising [strike]Reve..[/strike] [strike]Reven..[/strike] Revengeance where learning the in's and out's of the mechanics, like animation canceling, is a must to succeed even in the lowest (meow) difficulty. Yes, it is that hard but at the same time it is fair. You get XP with every enemy to unlock passive and active skills like bullet time, more resistance, grenades, better parries etc. at any point during gameplay. Wanted: Dead expects quick thinking and even quicker reflexes but rewards you with satisfying combat, hilariously corny cut-scenes and fun (and again, hard) mini-games. Did I mention the attractive female lead modeled after and voiced by Swiss actress Fee Marie Zimmermann? You guys wanted attractive female characters, right? There you are. On the technical side: It runs well on highest settings on my 10 year old high end gaming PC and even looks good and performs well on my Steam Deck on medium settings. Due to the short length yet high replayability the game is a contender for the "buy when it is on sale" award. Highly recommended. I just wish there would be more content or at least a DLC :(
