Voxelgram 2

It takes a little bit to get used to the playstyle and problem solving from the original game, but once you get the hang of it, it makes sense.

Voxelgram 2 is a reasonable successor to the original Voxelgram, with two main offerings: 250 new puzzles, and a new two-colour mode that changes up how puzzles play entirely. I think the idea behind a two-colour mode is interesting, but in practice I didn't find it super enjoyable to play, and quickly swapped back to the single-colour mode. Normally, you use one mouse button for colouring and the other for removing, so adding a third option in makes it quite awkward - the game's solution (a toggle to change which colour you're using) isn't ideal, but I'm not sure what would be. I found the puzzles ok, if a bit easy, but I can't say if that's because the game is easier than the first, or if I'm just used to the concept after playing through the original game. Overall, Voxelgram 2 is a weak recommend, for anyone who strongly enjoyed the original game and would like some more puzzles to engage in.

This game is more or less a copy of the first game but with the new 2 color mechanic, and that's just fine to me, I thought the first game was excellent. As with Picross 3D Round 2, Voxelgram 2 introduces a 2 color mechanic which I strugged with at first, as it seems a lot of other reviewers did, but it really does work once you get used to it. The 2 color mode really helps to make even smaller less complex puzzles a challenge. And that's the main thing about this game is that it is truly a challenge to get through the campaign. Those who turn off the 2 color mechanic are really doing themselves a disservice.

同じ２色なら数字の表記ルールの違うNonogram 3Dのほうがわかりやすくて楽しい。 ただ、あっちはランダム生成では２色にならないので、それができるこちらはありがたい。 でもやっぱり前作にあった瞑想的に無心で削るって操作ができないのが惜しいなぁ。 ２は頭ひねくってやりたい人向け。 他の作業のついでやら、無心で削りたい人は前作かNonogram 3Dおすすめ。

Worth every penny at full price for any 3D Nonogram puzzle fan like myself, especially for people who don't own part 1 yet! A good, challenging upgrade of the original concept. Both the original as well as upgraded mode are playable in this version, so it's less a sequel and more base game+. Since puzzle games are good for the brain, I recommend playing the new mode a long time after the original to challenge your neurons anew.
