Picross 3D: Round 2.
got frustrated but what can i say im just a dummy

After having played it for a while, I can't really recommend it, specially if you're a fan of the Picross 3D saga or are hoping for a similar experience. The game doesn't tell you right away when you make a mistake, which isn't something bad but it differs from the experience provided by the DS games The two color systems also differs from Picross 3D Round 2's. For example, a row with only a blue 2 CAN have some green blocks inside it, when in the 3DS game a row with only a blue 2 MUST only have 2 blue blocks in it's solution. (Play the demo to undestand this better) Those two aren't really bad, being that my biggest gripe with the game is that the diorama puzzles are very simple. Most rows and columns can be solved using two or three hints, so you don't have to use much logic. There are some accesibility settings that make solving them even easier, but you can disable them. The only exception are the random noise puzzles you can generate, which can be enjoyable and challenging.
I am once again reviewing voxelgram, after having finished everything on the first game including dlc. At first I thought that not only would this be the same as the first, I thought it would play like picross 3d 2, both are kinda wrong, the game does actually feel slightly more polished graphics-wise than the first one, although it's barely and the presentation is still basically identical, in fact it inherited the same flaw from the first game in having a single song in the soundtrack. Now, about the 2 colors thing, I thought it would resemble picross 3d 2 more, but it's pretty different, in picross 3d 2 yellow would be used for squares that changed shape, while here it feels more like they're a second 2d puzzle inside of a 3d puzzle, if that makes sense, and I don't really feel like I like it as much. I still like the game and all, but it feels a bit underbaked, I wish I could give it a neutral ranking but alas steam doesnt have that option, so I'm balancing by giving it a thumbsdown.
Un des meilleurs Picross 3D, même si le coup des 2 couleurs est plus compliqué à maitriser :D
Refunded the game after the first diorama, even after turning off the two colour mode. First game was a nice and simple challenge, you could still watch videos or read about something while playing, now this isn't really possible anymore, has ruined it for me sadly. Still love the concept and the art style, this just doesn't do it for me, controls and sounds do not feel intuitive anymore.
I liked Voxelgram 1 and while there were rough edges I was hoping they'd get smoothed out on the sequel. Instead there's a multicolor (just 2) setup that just doesn't seem very intuitive, like the first game expressing gaps in rows/columns of the puzzle but even worse since now it doesn't clearly tell one color from another. And at the end of the day the 2 colors don't really add much since the solution has its own color pallet separate from the blue/green. It is nice to get the voxelgram 1 DLC, even if it is put in the 2 color mode.
the second game in the series is unfortunately not as good as the first one, unless you like easier puzzles. several of the puzzles i have encountered are literally just remove one line of blocks and puzzle solved. the 2 color mechanic is... not fun. fortunately the game allows you to play without that mechanic but that just makes the game even easier and i just couldnt find myself enjoying it. i played through the entirety of the first game and enjoyed it so much more than this one. i cant recommend it at this point.
The best nonogram app I can imagine. It has every setting I've ever dreamed of. I strongly believe the developer plays nonograms a lot and understands players very well. I also especially appreciate how kind and respectful the developer is toward players. This game saves a huge amount of time by loading last valid states and offers both accenting relevant rows and hiding those hints to encourage self-sufficiency. A great game and great example of how a game should treat its players.
One of the best Nonogram apps you can get, in single colour mode anyway. Only thing is that there is a lack of more puzzles to do quickly as it seems that less people are making workshop puzzles for this one sadly. Still worth playing though.
