Reviews
Originally played this on XBOX so absolutely had to pick it up when I realised it was on steam. I adore the setting, the soundtrack, and the characters. The platforming is overall satisfying, with some segments being more annoying, but can definitely recommend picking it up if you want some old school platforming fun.
in another effort to review every video game that has helped distract me from the crushing weight of my own mortality and the unavoidable horrors of the human condition: i'd give this game a 3.6/10 with the footnote: i got a telepathic message from myself 15 years ago saying "yo voodoo vince is awesome" and i wish i could go back in time and hurt myself violently for ever daring to make such a statement. screw you vincent

Solid platformer that does have its fair share of annoyences such as not always properly explaining how to beat a boss or how to beat some level hazards. And some platforming can be a bit clunky but overall I like the game. It had a uniq artsyle, good jokes, solid controls, fun levels and a really great soundtrack. for 10 dollars I think the game is definantly worth it.
I loved this game as a kid, the humour and the overall gameplay....however the game just in not fun after you get to the rides at the carnival, the platforming is frustrating and it just is not fun anymore
I came back to Voodoo Vince mostly for nostalgia, and it’s just as good - if not better - than I remember. The story is simple, the objective is clear, and the witty dialogue still holds up. I appreciate there is now a solid set of achievements, and it’s a great trip down memory lane that’s worth experiencing again (or for the first time).
very good, plays better than I remembered. the end game is a little bit headache inducing but I'll forgive it since this game is so old. The ost and visual direction of this game is very nostalgic as well. 8.5/10
The nostalgia runs heavy with this one. I played this game as a kid on my dad's Xbox. I spent YEARS looking for it when I got older, and finally, I found it on steam. The remaster is easier to figure out (granted I was six when I played it last) but just as fun as ever. The game has a snazzy setting, a snarky main character, and is a genuinely good time.
Good remaster of an overlooked platformer
Truly one of the most fun & unique platformers ever.
Childhood favourite! Give it a try!
