Great game
Voidling Bound is a fun monster-collecting game with a satisfying progression system. Instead of catching creatures directly, you'll mostly be finding eggs or unlocking perks, such as one that gives a 3% chance for enemies to drop eggs when defeated. The breeding system can become fairly complex if you're trying to obtain the perfect Nature or Advanced Nature with maximum stat bonuses. Fortunately, that's completely optional. You can comfortably reach the endgame and earn every achievement without perfect breeding. Resources can become a bottleneck, but there is an effective farming method: breed two fully evolved versions of the same creature, hatch the offspring, and release them for resources. Personally, I used Cheat Engine to remove some of the resource grind because it became repetitive. Performance was excellent throughout my playthrough. I didn't encounter any bugs or technical issues. One thing I struggled with was keeping track of the collectible Plushies, as there isn't much help remembering which ones you've already found. You need to search the shop to see if they are on a random shelf. I also only completed a single run of the Abyss to get the achievement for reaching level 50. I already had a max stat creature i was working on breeding. My biggest complaint is the creature release system. Releasing monsters is unnecessarily slow because you have to hold the F key for each one. Even worse, I didn't discover the dedicated Release button until the very end of my playthrough. It's only available in the main Creature Browser, even though the other facilities use what appears to be the same creature browser interface. Adding that release option everywhere—or even better, a mass release feature—would greatly improve the quality of life. Overall, I had a great time with Voidling Bound. Despite some grinding and a few quality-of-life issues, it's an enjoyable creature collector that I'd recommend to fans of the genre.

Voidling Bound absolutely nails the fun part: building your Voidling. The amount of customization through evolution, breeding, genes, perks, and Catalyzers is honestly ridiculous, and experimenting with different builds is the game's biggest strength. My biggest mistake was finding a build I loved and using it for almost the entire campaign. By the time I reached the endgame, I realized I could already push the Abyss hundreds of floors with that same build, so I never really had a reason to experiment with all the other possibilities. That's on me as much as the game. The Abyss is designed as an endless challenge, but I found it became repetitive long before my build stopped working. There are also a few quality-of-life rough edges around the hub that I'd love to see streamlined, but nothing that seriously hurt my experience. If you're expecting a polished single-player creature-builder with an absurd amount of build variety, it's easy to recommend. Just don't make the same mistake I did—experiment throughout the campaign instead of saving all the fun for the endgame.
This game has been incredibly fun for such a simple premise. As others have said, the story is adequate. I would not say it's "extremely engaging" or "riveting", but if you read what each of the levels say it can be quite interesting. The gameplay is HIGHLY dependent upon which species you play as and then by what ability set that particular Voidling has. Each Voidling can eventually be customized with any of the "parts" from their species, any of the different styles of abilities they unlock through evolution or Golden Egg variants, along with every color, eye style, and skin pattern you've unlocked from each of the other species. As a fan of Pokemon, and Pokemon breeding in particular, I've found it enjoyable to breed up the species that I like to maximum breedable stats. I've done this before endgame content and have been also enjoying evolving every variant of each species even if it has required a lot of grinding on levels to get the mutagens I need to do so. Overall, based on my enjoyment of the game and the amount of hours I've sunk into it, I would give this game 5 stars. Yes, the story may not be groundbreaking, but not every game needs to be. Some games just need to be fun, and I think this game is VERY fun. ^_^
It's a nice Third-Person-Shooter with a creature collecting and breeding twist. Your character is zooming into the creatures and then you fight your way through a level as the creature. With the stuff you gather, you can genetically enhance the animals or breed them. Later you can splice their genes and adjust their optics (which takes an effect on their abilities as well). All in all it's a little fun game. I hope there will be DLCs with more creatures and more levels some day.
