FTL but 40K themed. Lots of fun and a great spin on a classic format.

Great game! Very very similar to Faster than light, with a few extra complexities. I much prefer the missions and encounters on Faster than light, they require more nuance and thought, and the art style is much cleaner on FTL, but this is a great follow up game if you want more of the game play.

Was hesitant to pick it up, seeing how it looked so much like ftl, but after playing I can confidently say that it is worth it. Many systems are completely overhauled and there are much more varied crew and equipment. It is a very different experience to ftl, and a great pick up for anyone who enjoyed it.

Would prefer to give it a "meh" rating. Enemies are all very samey, very little variation (ship layouts are exactly the same between ships, so you often end up fighting the same boring enemy 5x in a row), some kind of interesting features but they don't necessary play super well with the FTL formula. Basically, the game is an exact copy of FTL with some missing features & 1 or 2 added features, less content, and less balance. Would only recommend as a "I have literally nothing else to play and I want a lazy game" kind of vibe (and btw when I say exact, it literally feels like FTL with a low-medium quality overhaul mod). Not very much actual challenge in the game, only difficulty comes from the amount of overpowered weapons that the enemies have that pierce shields, so they're uncounterable. A lot of the fights are just trying to out-shoot enemies before their shield piercing weapons kill you, not very much tactic to it. The price feels a bit much for how much work they've actually had to put in. They could easily have vibecoded a FTL clone and then just slapped some different art on top of it.

Better than FTL and still getting huge updates. Looking forward to the future.
