a short, fun and challenging game 7,5/10 i chose hard and ngl i loved the way the game forced you to adapt to learn every citizens' mechanic, also sustainability. still it lack the dept to push the game futher.
Its tedium and repetitiveness had me thinking it was a few hours longer then it needed to be, but the stellar writing and novel mechanics are splendid, and worth checking out.

love the aesthetic, the gameplay is pretty fine but most of the items you can unlock are pretty useless, I ended up playing mostly with the same setup every run. There is absolutely no story, the 'plot' is limited to "we need you to get these random items for no reason to do a thing we won't explain". I was expecting it to open up in complexity as i went along but pretty much the opposite happened.
It's pretty cool. I had a lot of fun with it even if I got my ass KICKED for playing on Hard first time around. The strongest parts of the game are the presention/art style and the atmospheric immersion. Unique sounds for each enemy, the eerie music that plays when you're traveling through a worryingly empty ship and wondering why you haven't met one of those terrifying Screws (even though you would be better off not doing so), and the intense tunes that kick in when you do encounter something, all of it gets you constantly at the edge of your seat, which is definitely what a good action game should do. Void Bastards seems very speedrunnable thanks to having consistent biome generation throughout, and I'm not sure how to feel about this. On one hand, since it's so heavy on time management (limited oxygen that gets scarcer as you go deeper), the consistent procgen lets you plan out movement/combat strategies quickly and fits in line with the stealth mechanics. On the other hand... what I like about roguelikes is how you can both easily get utterly screwed or get super crazy builds at the same time, and with the way Void Bastards is built it doesn't give you much room for either side. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if the game went way further on the common(?) roguelike aspect (shorter runs with permanent upgrades applying across all your runs, think One Step From Eden's unlockable player characters and cards), or had a 100% static campaign mode. But y'know, Void Bastards is neat as it is. Excellent presentation with good gameplay. Will give Normal Ironman a few whacks some time.
good
很不错的搜打撤游戏,汉化程度也很好
10/10
yep
SUPER awesome game. This one I happened to get free on that *other* download manager, and I liked it enough that I wanted it on here. I was legitimately side-swiped by how cool this game is. It's got a great rogue-like nature combined with *most* of your progress being saved between runs. Sometimes the game is just ridiculously difficult, but that's why the progression between runs actually makes it reasonable. Also, Unstoppable is the best trait and I refuse to argue with myself about it if I ever find one that seems better. Once I have it, I just can't feel comfortable losing it. Pressing those damn buttons on each door is just such a hassle compared to just charging through a map.
I love this game. It was my go to on xbox and continue to play it since switching to pc. I love the art style, and gameplay and this will always be high on my list of favorites.
