Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 16 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Stop wasting paid lesson time on the basics. Virtual Driving School is a serious, skills-first simulator that teaches real-world manoeuvres and traffic systems, so you show up to your first lesson already road-ready. Drill fundamentals in quick 1–3 minute scenarios, then put them to use in practice drives, quizzes, and career modes like delivery driver, and repeat until it sticks. Then test your skills on city streets, rural roads, and motorways, in sun, rain, or fog.
VDS is built to get you ahead fast: fewer hours on fundamentals, more time perfecting your driving.
Targeted lessons cover the fundamentals in short bursts (1–3 mins): Gears, clutch control, moving off, lane choice, merges, roundabouts, parking, emergency stops, and more.
Practice Drives: Tackle set routes packed with live hazards — pedestrians, parked obstacles, unpredictable traffic — with one goal: get to the end cleanly.
Quizzes: Drive and think. Routes pause to test your road knowledge with progressively harder questions and a final score at the end.
Career Modes: Step into the shoes of a delivery driver (points-based) or taxi driver (5-star rating). Hit your destinations on time, drive cleanly, and watch your score climb — or tank.
Unlimited retries: Master tricky manoeuvres without a meter running.
Realistic traffic & signage: Pedestrians, temporary roadworks, box junctions, crossings, level crossings, lane control, motorway incidents, different times of day.
Hazard Avoidance: Train for the unexpected — cars pulling out from behind lorries, reckless overtakes, sudden stops, dangerous drivers, and more.
Right‑ and Left‑Hand Drive options (mirrors, lane flow, junction priority, etc.).
Steering wheels & pedals: Logitech, Fanatec, Moza, and many more.
Drive your way: Pick from preset modes - Arcade, Intermediate and Expert - or fully customise the controls to match exactly how you want to drive. Toggle automatic gears, easy gears, clutch, handbrake, headlights, and more. Whether you're easing in or simulating the full manual experience, the setup is yours.
Manual mastery: Clutch control, hill starts, and gear‑shift driving supported.
Also supports keyboard & mouse and controller.
Full VR Support – Play the game in Full VR.
Multi Display and Surround Display Support – combine up to five displays to create the most immersive gaming environment possible. (Requires NVIDIA Surround).
Multiple Cameras – cameras and display cut-ins show the view from multiple sources simultaneously: allowing the player to view a head, behind, wing mirrors, rearview mirror(s) and side windows.
Headtracking Support – Headtracking combined with surround screens allows near VR experience with multiple screens.
Over 30 lessons covering all aspects of driving broken down into several categories.
Basics: Setup, controls, gears, moving off, turning, pull up left/right, blind bends, hill starts.
Traffic Systems: Traffic lights, zebra/controlled crossings, box junctions, junctions, priority rules, roundabouts.
Speed, Stopping & Parking: 20 mph zones, dual carriageways, national limits
HD environments with pedestrians and dense traffic with realistic driving AI.
Locations: Launch regions include Conway, Cairnloch, and San Jose, with locations from around the world rolling out (UK, US, Europe, Asia).
Dynamic conditions: Day/night, rain/fog, wet/icy grip that changes stopping distances.
Vehicle variety: From compact cars and family sedans to vans. Each with distinct visibility, weight, and braking feel.
VDS is built to frontload your learning: master core skills, understand road language, and sharpen hazard perception before you meet an instructor. That means fewer paid hours on fundamentals, more on passing the test.
Disclaimer: Virtual Driving School is a training‑oriented simulation and a powerful supplement to real‑world instruction. It does not replace certified driver training. Always follow local laws and licensing requirements.

Not bad but too early to recommend. Note that my setup is keyboard and mouse only. There is one UK map and one US map, which is great. Obviously needs more maps, but I expect that to happen in the future. It's kinda hard to tell where the line is for the traffic lights, so I feel like I have to experiment to figure out where it flags a violation. "Hitting" vehicles is frustrating because sometimes the NPC vehicles are the ones that hit me, and I understand you're supposed to practice evasive maneuvers but please... there's gotta be a way to tell that someone else hit the player, especially because you sometimes can't avoid it. I would also like crash physics. It doesn't "feel" like I'm hitting anyone because my car just clips through. Cars are solid objects. I need to feel like a little warning box is not the only consequence to a collision. I have not seen a single NPC vehicle signal a turn (EDIT: I was wrong about this lol, I saw it in my last session) and sometimes there's just a huge line of them in my way when I get a green light. I'm not sure if this is just realism (I've never been to San Jose and don't know what their traffic is like, and I only really play the San Jose map) or if the NPC programming is that stupid. Braking needs some work. It feels like there's zero stopping distance, so I end up stopping too early. Or I guess I could just get used to pressing S over and over because it's not like my keyboard is pressure-sensitive. I don't know if there's necessarily a solution to this one for my setup. What I do like:

You can simulate the need to change gears
There are multiple unlockable vehicles modeled after a good variety of real ones, increasing the chances that one of them will be at least somewhat like your IRL vehicle
Even though the quiz questions are a little invasive, it comes with practical "on-the-road" training
The practice routes are much less invasive, with the GPS/Sat Nav acting as the guide and making it feel less "education-y"
I will keep using this in the hopes that it will help me, since my difficulties are mostly in paying attention (maybe why cars keep hitting me lol?) and with the knowledge that there will be more fixes and features soon. So no, not recommended... yet.

This crashed so many time, I have changed every setting I could think off. It might just be due to it's early stage in development but I've never managed to start driving since the demo. The game just crashes every time I press on throttle.
i want to thank devs for accept my key on keymailer allow me to play this game early enjoed denfily think this good game if want learn to drive + like driving games!! 10/10
The advertised compatibility of driving wheels isn't really functioning, I've mapped everything but it doesn't function in the sim. At this time vr is not really supported either as its functionality is useless. STAY AWAY
Aside from the graphic is really poor, it does not detect the echo aviation controller.
PROPER UK REAL LIFE DRIVING SCHOOL FINALLY!! tired of CCD and their updates... wish you guys the best !!! love the game\1
looks like some undergraduate level coursework
There's a lot of potential in this game, but unfortunately, it's very half-baked at the moment. It doesn't seem possible to customize driving wheels, and if your wheel isn't supported out of the box, well then it'll kinda work, but not really. There's loads of other bugs in the game. Even some basic typos. It just feels like it was released too early. I don't even mind the lack of content at the moment, but it feels like they should have waited another few months to put it out. Why the rush? Anyways, I hope that I can revise this review in the future, because the concept is really great. I also wish there was more emphasis on the theory part of the exam for given countries, but maybe that'll come eventually. At the moment, I can't recommend this game but hopefully it'll get there one day.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I liked it.
Negatives: if you try to use keyboard for driving - it is just a disaster (as of today) - my advice for developers would be to focus on some basic things instead of adding some random features that I see on the timeline. I got this game for my gf to get better with real-world-driving as she learns to drive, but game requires to develop in-game-driving skills. E.g. steering on the keyboard is just a pain, it could be fixed with some self-centering for the car. Also game looks incredibly slow on macbook pro M2 pro 32gb, I had to go to the lowest settings to run this - which is not that much of a problem for me here, but I think this has good optimization potential. Neutral: I bought the wheel (before I was going to just request a refund) - Logitech G29 on mac runs much better (wheel has it's own problem of not allowing 900 degrees rotation. It is fixable but might be a pain to do). But still you get quite weird experience of game being unforgiving to minor violations that are clearly coming not from me trying to break the rules but from inability to handle in-game car impeccably. Positives: I think this has great potential (especially as this game is supported on mac and has left-hand driving mode) - this might be a good market, just needs a lot of metrics to see what people actually use in your game - I feel there's a disconnection between users expectations and what game offers leading to "Mostly negative" rating. Free drive looks exactly what I need, I would appreciate bigger map with more in-city conditions, diving few kilometers on suburb road that has no road situations is not what I was looking for. Good luck with the game guys!
