Like the idea, but its honestly in a really rough state to be sold at 10 bucks. "combat"/button input is delayed as hell. hurtboxes need to be adjusted from the falling trash bags. at least some sort of hint of objects coming at you instead of trial and error. willing to check this game out again after some patches if any come out.
At first, I was scared that this was going to be a mediocre TikToker game that achieves success because of fans, but this is actually something really special and brand new. It is honestly the most unique platformer i have played in a very long time. The music is very flawless and nostalgic, the difficulty is also really inclined with the game, like the developer wants us to experience what the character (Willow) experiences. My favorite level so far is the level where you constantly have to turn back while turning on your flashlight to avoid the spider chasing you, it feels as if the developer wants us to understand her fear of always having to run and look her back because of stalkers but instead they made it in a more subtle way. I like the slow attacks and always constantly not knowing where an object or enemy might appear, i don't see it as a flaw but as a big part of the game because it really shows the anxiety the developer tries to show. For example in a part of the game you attack a boss but he always don't seem to die, also seeing as bosses don't have health bars made it even more difficult but added more to the story. I felt like giving up many times, but i constantly kept trying and eventually i beat the bosses and felt so much relief. My final rating for this game is 11/10 Unique game that touch on a lot of sensitive topics and does it so well, this game is so full of heart and truly a delight to play

Some of the puzzles are tricky, but I'm sure there's a way to figure them out and overall I highly recommend this!
One of the only main problems I have with this game is that it's way too short. I literally beat it in 1 hour and 20 minutes. If I can BEAT an entire game and afterwards STILL be able to refund the game if I wanted to, that's how you know your game is too short. (Not saying that I'm going to refund it, I'm just saying that it's too short) Out of the 1 hour and 20 minutes that I played though, it was a decent game, it just needs to be expanded upon at least a little bit in my opinion
I was really unsure of what quality this game was going to be, but honestly, I have to say I absoultly love it. As a person who gets scared quite easily, it is a bit scary, but its really intresting and really shows how hard and scary it is to be a woman/woman presenting person in the irl world, espesically as a young child/teen. 10/10
Super cool concept for a game, just really unfinished. I'm currently stuck in a loop after you escape the stalker's house where I die every time I jump on to a specific trash can. I'd wait until it's actually playable until buying it.
I was really excited for this game and its such a great concept, though for some reason it just keeps randomly resetting me to certain points and its just so frustrating, I can't even play the game since I just get stuck in a death loop and I've seen a few other people say this as well. I hope that I can try and play again another time when its more finished and less buggy
not as good as what has been promoted. The worst part is how unclear the tutorial is, and the story is too difficult to understand for this kind of game.
Maybe its a bug, but I cant get very far in the game because there is a level that keeps restarting me back to the beginning of the level. I even looked at a video walk through and it appears that they get restarted to the level once and then are able to just continue going through it. However, every single time I try to play, it just keeps restarting me. Please fix this as I really want to be able to play it but at the moment it is unplayable. Maybe there is something I'm missing if so please lmk I would love to keep playing. It is the level just after the trash bags fall on you. I found you on reddit a while back and have been waiting to get the game so I'm really excited about it but not able to play :(
Having seen how much love for detail, creativity and passion went into this game and just how much the developer listens to the fans on how the game should be, is something i really aspire. This game feels really special to me! every time i play it, i feel like i am Willow moving around in this world and sometimes i feel the anxiety she feels, its a feeling like you're never really alone anything can happen. I am kind of bad at platformers but this is one i really enjoyed, even a noob like me can play and have a very good time. Hands down - one of the best 2D platformer games! Virago is such an interesting concept. Each level represents a very deep meaning which i hope one day, the developer will be able to explain. The sound design is chefskiss, animations are super satisfying and the death/health bar system is what really drew me to the game. In this game you don't have a health bar but only a fear bar where if you get too scared you basically restart to last checkpoint. Yes, its difficult, Yes it is fun. Yes, I raged. I recommend this to all game lovers. Virago is a must buy 10/10
