This is very good! First game for me to learn a whole new book of recipes and also, the reality India immigrants face as they have to juggle between their roots and the environment they have to adapt to. The story is well-presented and it touched my heart. Also, the graphics and audio are honestly, making me hungry lmao. Luckily I finished the game a little bit more than an hour, now I wanted dosa for supper. Thanks for the great game!!!!
La petite histoire d'une famille qu'on suit sur fond de cuisine, ça se fait vite et c'est relativement détendant. Quelques musiques sympathiques !

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Venba focuses on an Indian family who see a clash of cultures as their son grows up in Canada. It is an insightful game that explores a variety of Indian dishes while we follow the family's story. It is not at all the type of game I was expecting it to be. From the trailer it looked like a happy family cooking game but there are darker undertones in the game about cultural oppression and identity issues. The premise of the game is good, they provide actual recipes for the dishes you cook in game so you can create them in real life and the music gives an authentic feel to the game. The reason I'm leaving a negative review is I found the overall game boring. It is a short narrative piece with 7 chapters, I was hoping the cooking would have a bigger aspect in the game. The most disappointing thing for me is that there is no skip option. Unless you have looked at the achievements beforehand or choose to follow a guide on your first playthrough, you will have to replay the game 2-3 times to get all of the achievements. The story may be short, but having to painfully click through all the dialogue again made me somewhat sour. Even after 2 playthroughs, I am still missing 2 trophies but I refuse to play through all the chapters for a 3rd time. Overall, I can see why people like this game but I found this short game to be unnecessarily longwinded with a gloomy story when I just wanted to make some exciting dishes. Would get my money back if I could.
I loved this Game! was so immersive and surpassed my expectations. Looking forward to the next one
really bad dont play. + 1 for women cooking.
Absolutely beautiful game with a heartfelt story! I am a huge sucker for cooking games, and the way they incorporated that with the recipe book is brilliant storytelling. Also loved that they included the recipes!
This is a cooking game with calm, chill and relaxing music and a fair story. My rating to this game is 2.5⭐/5⭐. It's definitely not a bad game also not the best game. I like the game. Positives: 1. Music and songs used in this game are so relaxing and makes the game more joyful. 2. Had an interesting gameplay, nothing more hard or complex, simple gameplay, easy to follow and understand. 3, Animation and art style suits the game and gameplay well, Doesn't have much visuals but this is enough for this game. 4. Optimisation is good, as long as I played, i experienced no bugs nor glitches, also the game is smooth. Neutral: 1. This game doesn't voice dubbing for the characters, the characters communicate through text, like comics. Some may like that but some might not. I feel adding voice could've made the game better. 2. Story is fair, could've improved. Negatives: 1. The game is very short, could've extended the game story, chapters could've been elaborated and much more detailed. 2. Only a few recipes are in the game, should've added more. 3. Story has some minor plot holes. To the developers, how did the spectacles survive so long? and how did they suit with the son's eyes? also how did paavalan die? also what happened in the park, why was he injured??
Very touching story, gorgeous illustrations and love the inclusion of a recipe book to try these in reality. Short & sweet.
A beautiful game both musically, visually, and story-wise. Its absolutely a short game, so the choice and pacing of the story beats is so very important. They did a great job of picking the points to convey the maximum amount of emotional impact, letting details in the background and the interplay of characters in the scenes fill in the blanks between. If the price might scare you for such a short game, know that you will get a recipe of each thing cooked- so you get a neat little story AND a cookbook all in one!
