Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Read my entire review here. (it's too long because I am wordy and purple prosey) But tl;dr, I do not recommend this game, for it comes off as unfinished with it's dialogue, the art feels generic, and the battle system feel rng based rather than intuitive.
Great game that surprised me. It's laid back and has an excellent story. Music and graphics (hand drawn) are nice. You can play through multiple times and unlock different endings. What touched me the most is at the end of this game is says it is dedicated to the creators sister (R.I.P.). Wow! What a work of Love! Highly recommend! Play on story mode to just breeze through it and unlock things with ease. Its a chill and thrilling story. All text is read aloud so just sit back and enjoy the ride. The occasional fights were the worst part for me. I just wanted to get back to the story. lol. Anyway, buy it on sale and you won't have any regrets. Enjoy!

Casual, but not bad, but I refunded it anyway, because I didn't like it, but I know some will and it doesn't deserve a negative rating. Why didn't I like it? And keep in mind that my critique is based on "this is too casual for me, but not bad per se".

The battles are way too simple. Building synergies with your abilities is a nice thought experiment, but it becomes old rather sooner than later.
The story has choices and paths and everything that makes it intriguing, but I couldn't sit through the dull on-rails presentation, just to click through lackluster battles whenever I got to be active.
The hand-drawn graphics are absolutely gorgeous, though.
VED is an ambitious narrative-driven RPG developed by Karaclan and published by Fulqrum Publishing, aiming to fuse classic role-playing sensibilities with modern storytelling structure and experimental mechanics. From the outset, the game positions itself as something more contemplative than action-oriented, placing emphasis on choices, atmosphere, and the psychological weight of its world rather than raw spectacle. It is a title that clearly wants the player to slow down, absorb its ideas, and engage with its systems thoughtfully, even when those systems occasionally feel rough around the edges. The story revolves around Cyrus, an unassuming young man whose life changes dramatically when he discovers the ability to shift between two interconnected realities. One is a grounded, industrial city filled with political tension, social hierarchies, and human conflicts, while the other is a surreal magical realm of floating lands, strange creatures, and ancient forces. These two worlds are not merely aesthetic contrasts but narrative mirrors, with decisions and events in one realm influencing outcomes in the other. The game leans heavily into player agency, offering branching storylines, faction alignments, and moral choices that shape both Cyrus’s development and the broader fate of the worlds he inhabits. While the overarching concept is compelling and full of thematic potential, the execution sometimes struggles, with dialogue that can feel stiff and story beats that don’t always land with the emotional clarity they seem to aim for. Visually, VED is one of those games that immediately stands out. Its hand-drawn art style evokes the feel of an illustrated novel, with richly textured environments, expressive character portraits, and a strong sense of artistic identity. Animations are subtle rather than flashy, but small details—like character movements during conversations or the layered depth of magical landscapes—help create an immersive atmosphere. The soundtrack complements this presentation well, blending orchestral tones with unexpected modern influences, reinforcing the sense that VED exists somewhere between traditional fantasy and something more experimental. Together, the art and music do much of the heavy lifting when it comes to mood and immersion, often compensating for moments where the narrative falters. Gameplay in VED is built around turn-based tactical combat and a semi-roguelite exploration structure within the magical realm. Battles are fought on segmented arenas where positioning, ability timing, and resource management play important roles. The combat system introduces chance-based mechanics reminiscent of tabletop RPGs, using percentage checks and dice-like rolls to determine outcomes. This approach can create memorable moments of tension and surprise, but it can also lead to frustration when carefully planned strategies fail due to unfavorable rolls. Outside of combat, progression through the magical world involves choosing paths, gaining blessings or curses, and dealing with events that can permanently alter future encounters. These mechanics encourage adaptability and replayability, though they sometimes lack the depth needed to sustain long-term strategic satisfaction. Character progression focuses more on narrative growth and ability customization than on traditional RPG stat grinding. Skills and magical powers open up new tactical options rather than simply increasing numerical strength, reinforcing the idea that VED values decision-making over optimization. However, some players may find this progression system underwhelming, especially if they are accustomed to more complex build systems or frequent power spikes. The balance between story progression and mechanical engagement can feel uneven, with certain sections dragging due to repetitive encounters or limited mechanical variety. Where VED ultimately succeeds is in its willingness to take risks. It is unapologetically strange at times, prioritizing atmosphere, theme, and player choice over accessibility or mainstream appeal. Where it stumbles is in polish, particularly in writing clarity, pacing, and mechanical refinement. The translation and dialogue occasionally undermine the emotional impact of key scenes, and the combat system, while conceptually interesting, does not always provide the consistency needed to fully support the game’s ambitions. In the end, VED is a game best approached with the right expectations. It is not a tightly tuned tactical masterpiece nor a flawlessly written narrative epic, but rather a heartfelt, experimental RPG that values ideas and mood over perfection. Players who appreciate unconventional storytelling, hand-crafted art styles, and meaningful choices will likely find much to admire, even if they also recognize its flaws. For those willing to engage with its imperfections, VED offers a memorable and thought-provoking journey that stands apart from more conventional RPG experiences. Rating: 7/10
