Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's such a shame because Vanguard Princess is a GREAT game, but this is the worst port/version ever, everything is broken, you can't even play it in fullscreen properly, controller doesn't work, and for some reason if I try to play with keyboard my character keeps jumping by itself do yourself a favour and get it from somewhere else
Learning that Vanguard Princess has recently received a port to the exA-Arcadia system (and worked on by FK Digital, no less) brought me here to rekindle fond memories. Except it didn't. The original 2009 version was an amazing surprise: a free fighting game made by an industry veteran with amazing sprite art and animation, heavy fanservice (which reaches very questionable levels with the Assist characters), but great gameplay and personality underneath; it pushed Enterbrain's Fighter Maker, already quite a dated tool by that point, to its limit. Over 15 years later, it still looks incredibly good, the only small issue being the lack of parallax in the backgrounds; it's proof that good 2D art never ages. Being little active in actual gaming for many years until recently, I foolishly thought I was supporting the original game through this release, while the truth couldn't be further from it; in fact, I learned of even recent legal wrangling around the Vanguard Princess IP, and that patching of this Steam version over the years has in fact caused more issues. There's not even a proper fullscreen mode. The cherry on this bad cake is the announcement of a mobile game that looks to merely recycle the sprites, already looking quite iffy. Better get the old 1.08 version (the original blog of the creator is still up) and wait for the day Vanguard Princess R will be "backported" or emulated...

DO NOT BUY! CONTROLLER DOESN'T WORK. CAN'T PLAY ONLINE. BROKEN GAME DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
*** update as of 9 / 2 / 25 **** Ok... so it works now so plus points for that. I'd still keep a working copy just in case another "update" happens... so at least this game isn't a useless potato anymore! :D ************************************************************************************ ************************************************************************************ GO PLAY THE ORIGINAL v1.08e. Its easy to find and You can at least run it. Unlike this version they have "updated" to. This new update basically kills this game. Even with Direct Play enabled it just quits after I open it. And that mobile port is just pure garbage. I understand if you guys, EigoManga, just wanted to pilfer neat assets from a far superior original work for a quick buck but at least but some effort into elevating it... not cobble it together into the monstrosity it is now. Sucks that a neat game is tarnished by the hands of opportunistic parasites.
The New Update Broke Gamepad Functionality
There is a community guide for Vanguard Princess that detailed out what you used to have to do to get gamepads to work with the game. The guide spelled out every step in detail. Well, the new update broke that. And the new controller support Does. Not. Work. I tried to play the game with and without Steam Input for my very standard gamepad. I tried multiple layouts in the Steam Input controller settings. I also tried using default controller support instead of Steam Input remapping. I tried using the controller settings in the game setup menu. Nothing works. I play fighter games with a gamepad. Period. It's time to uninstall Vanguard Princess! Oh, and if the publisher wanted to get Kickstarter support for the upcoming version of the game, they should have done a better job with their update for the version of the game that is already on Steam. When you close Vanguard Princess, it automatically opens the Kickstarter page for the mobile version of the game. Seriously? After your update broke the game?! What a joke!
waste of good character design, the game is broken as hell and the movement makes absolutely zero sense
Vanguard Princess is a 2d fighting game that has potential, but poor design hinders it. This game feels like it is running off of a bad emulator with a subpar resolution, and the UI is pretty confusing. The actual fighting gameplay is somewhat smooth and interesting, but it lacks structure and progression. All you do is fight pretty poorly coded bots continuously, round after round. I would recommend passing on this game. There are better fighting games out there to play.
Very outdated with old resolution options (i.e.: extremely limited) and broken controller support.
Do not buy. It used to work years ago. Now it crashes upon launch and the developers don't care about fixing it.
I've only played for a bit but I was surprised by how archaic this was. There's no proper window modes in this game, fullscreen just stretches the window and image becomes blurry and even then the bar at the top doesn't get hidden. I had to download a third party launcher just to get proper borderless windowed mode. I would recommend it if it at least had a proper window modes. With all that said, this is a decent fighting game, animation and art style is great especially the special move cutscenes. First impression of the character select is it was confusing especially for someone new to the game but vertical selection is your character and horizontal selection is your support which could've been implemented better. My only real issue is the support characters when in a match where they would be in the foreground whenever their skill used and this is an issue because it makes it hard to track your character and your opponent is plus if you both have the same support character it gets even more confusing. I wish there was an option to darken the background a bit because there are npcs on some stages and makes everything so confusing. Overall the game has potential but after reading up a bit about this game, it's a shame about what happened here it would've been an amazing fighting game if it got properly finished.
