Frist off: I may not recommend this but I had my fun with this game. I really liked the introspective writing style and Athens as the setting is an interesting choice, the descriptions of this ancient city are beautiful. I had a nice time and will probably play this story again some time in the furutre, to explore all the different possbilities. It was very nice visiting the World of Darkness again and this story feels like a part of that fascinating world. But here's the big BUT: It's a very short story. Even though I don't like comparing games with one another, I'll do it this time because it's not the frist VtM novel (by Choice of Games) I read. "Out for Blood" and "Night Road" both took roughly 7 to 8 hours for me to get through for the frist time. This one took me 2,5 hours to get to the end. But all the games I've mentioned cost about the same. "Sins of the Sires" is a nice story itself but shouldn't be priced at 10€ (tbf, I bought it during sale for ~7€ but I still think that was too much for it). Maybe 3-4€ are more appropriate, in my opinion. This story also felt more like a short story, not like a novel. I liked the characters but couldn't get invested in them too much because of the length, which really is a shame. I see the potential and possibilities, it really feels like being in the WoD but comes short in too many regards. And at last, which is a more personal prefrence, I missed having a character sheet. Yes, there are ways in which your character can lean, but having the possibility of failing and/or thinking about "How can I achieve this with my custom charakter?" is something I really enjoy and missed in this installment of the series.

I started with the incomparable Night Road, and my expectations were high and I knew it, so I prepared for disappointment. But not enough. The writing is starts and stops: at times it is good, and then it just fizzles out like a car running out of gas. Theres a skill system, but its never properly used, so just forget about it. Theres a plot, that starts ok, teaches about feminism and LGBT, and then says, **** this, Im out, and commits suicide. I though I was maybe 1/3rd of the way through the game, when it comes to an end. Its not that its not long enough, its that it suddenly stops without coming to a close without explaining anything or giving any closure. You pay the full price, but receive a demo that just ends suddenly. If you play just for the mood, go ahead. Theres a few very good scenes. But dont expect a finished product, expect a half-done manuscript that has some promising bits.
Most shallow game of the series
Buy this if it is on sale and you have a compulsion to have every VTM game in your library. Otherwise, don't buy it, so they make a more polished story next time. Short explanation of why I'm so disappointed: I like to play and discover every possible route in such types of games to see what I could possibly achieve and learn more about the characters and what happens around me. For my first playthrough, I play the game normally and make a copy of my savegame at every new chapter. After I finished the game, I try other options that interested me during my normal playthrough. And let me tell you...I was DISAPPOINTED when I went back and tried other options. (spoiler: Your decisions don't change anything for the ending) The long explanation: I was extremely unhappy with the ending I got and wanted to see what would wait for me if I had chosen differently at different points in time. I loaded my save from the beginning of my last chapter and chose different answers. Each and every answer got me a few line changes on the next page, but that was the full extent of the difference. I thought "Okay, it's the last chapter, I probably can't change much in that chapter alone". So I went back to my save to the beginning of the chapter before the last one and tried every different decision...and it changed nothing. So I went back a chapter before that -> same outcome I went back a chapter again -> same outcome I went back as far as the beginning of chapter 3 and quit at that point. Why should I buy a "choose your own adventure" game when I could have just purchased a book and would not have been disappointed? There are fanfictions out there where you have more control over how the story progresses with chapter selections than this game. Overall, I am very disappointed with this game/story and cannot recommend it. Buy Night Road, Out For Blood or Parliament of Knives, those give you something to have fun with!
One of the shortest and just...worst of any VTM games I've played. Very. Very. Meh.
This is actually exactly like a VTM story should be. Many paths, many characters, many goals and schemes etc. It is peak WoD storytelling. The character building at the start is so well done and more organic than most in these games. Theres nice artwork spread throughout the game...I could go on. But if you are scared of the game because someone asks you for your pronouns in the first few minutes, maybe roleplaying games are too much for your cerebral capacities, big boy.
I really didn't enjoy this game. The story just felt bad, with very little way to have any agency or create any feelings of inspiration or excitement at the intrigue. The game feels unfinished and the sexism from the Prince, while it may be character accurate, just adds more annoyance to an already trivial game playing as a non male character. I would recommend the characters be rewritten with more depth and the player given more agency to actually make it fun.
A major decline in quality when compared too Parliament of knives and Night Road. The Pacing is all over the place, the reader is expected to attach themselves to the characters within the first 3 chapters. The broader issue however is pacing. The chapter lengths are short, like really short. One chapter never takes longer than 20 minutes to read, hence there aren't many words dedicated to building lore, character relations, or work on our stats. Additionally it contributes to the pacing issue, within 2,5 hours or 10 chapters the reader is not left any time to really resonate with the story nor for the story to establish itself. All in all this feels more like a cash grab using the VTM IP than a well crafted choose your own adventure.
Out of all the VTM interactive novels this is the only one I just can't recommend. The clans didn't feel like they made much difference in the game. A lot of the earlier stories went nowhere, which could be a symptom of me just choosing to go a different path but there was so many I cant believe it was just a skill issue. Also the story felt like it ended far to early. It wasn't short exactly but where it felt like you were entering Act 2 of the story it just sped up at light speed and then was suddenly over. Like Act the first half of the story was about 90% of the play time. All in all just felt off, wouldn't replay or recommend in really any circumstance. Really nice writing in the begining which was a shame.

我走的Markos的RO,最后选不杀Gor+杀Kapriel+和Gor并肩战斗+不原谅Markos(这里有bug,本来Kapriel那里暗示过他已经死了…)+去squat
Let's hope we do better than the people who came before us.
Tremere
