Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Great RPG with good story & vibes. However all other gameplay aspects are too outdated/clunky and riddled with bugs even with the unofficial patch mod, making it hard to actually enjoy the good things of this game.

not a revolutionary take but this may be the best game ever made

This game is a masterpiece, buggy and borderline unplayable in its current state, but a masterpiece nevertheless. Shout out to Wesp5 for helping thousands of people enjoy the vibrant characters, setting, and story. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of Bioshock and Fallout 3/NV.

Ну что я могу сказать, начнем по порядку) С этой игрой я познакомился в 2023 году. Скачал пиратку с неофициальным патчем от Wesp версии 9 + решейд и свитфикт. Она очень много раз попадалась мне в стиме и торрент сайтах, но меня каждый раз отпугивали ее скриншоты (даже взять в стиме, они до ужаса не лепые) и я откладывал ее в долгий ящик. Проходит некоторое время я в отпуске и тут я решил все таки ее скачать, скажу сразу видео о ней я никого в тот момент не смотрел. И понеслась первые 10 часов на пиратке я не заметил как они прошли + я проникся атмосферой Лос-Анджелеса и меня было не остановить, я забыл про существование других игр вообще. Немного о версии стим, если вам нужны часы или те же самые руководства, то берите, но помните о всех проблемах этой версии (их тут много) , но конечно можно купить ее и скачать фанатскую озвучку и патч от Wesp и забудешь о всех проблемах (как я в принципе и сделал, как только ее купил) Начнем с плюсов игры: 1. Сайд квесты, которые по своей сути лучше даже, чем основной сюжет 2. Атмосфера 3. Система прокачки и ее вариативность 4. Желание проходить ее раз за разом А теперь к минусам: 1. Боевка, она топорная (ну не прям конечно деревянная, но для 2004г она вполне не плохая) 2. Стрельба (но вы можете сказать,что с прокачкой она становится лучше, несомненно, тем что прицел быстрее возвращается в исходное положение + урон больше, на этом все) хотя для меня это не совсем минус (я гангрелла через оружие сборку делал о чем вообще речь, это вернемся к вариативности прокачки) 3. Очень плохая версия стим, простите меня, но без патчей никуда (софт локи будут очень часто, а про баги я вообще молчу и про вырезанный контент тоже, за него спасибо моддерам) Итог: Если вы думаете покупать это игру или нет, я отвечу вам несомненно ДА, я от игры 2004г. получаю больше эмоций, чем от некоторых ААА игр в данный момент. А после публикации этого отзыва, часов у меня явно прибавится не на одну 100-ню часов. Всем спасибо, что прочитали данный отзыв, всего вам хорошего и хорошей игры)

One of the greatest games I've ever played. 10/10 story 10/10 characters 100/10 replayability

I should write a super long and detailed review. My souls wants to say a lot about this. I'm afraid I don't know any words in the English lexicon that could physically describe the depths of my love for this game and the World of Darkness. Long and short: The game is a garbage, buggy mess without a few patches, which make the game immediately amazing. The writing is funny, simple and still full of undertones and jabs, it's to my taste at least. It probably will be to anybody that's in any way gothic or alt leaning. That's all the comments I will make on the game itself. Buy it, add patch, play game, you'll have fun. Just on a more personal note. This game fundamentally shaped me as a person. It's, at times, a hyperbolic and analogous comparison to the real world, its people and it's politics at their absolute worst, dumbed down to the lowest point. It's kinda how the world always *felt* to me if you took out all the social and political acting to make everyone seem smarter and in greater condition than they really are. Kinda like I'm doing now with this long ass buzzword-esque review, I know. Somebody, somewhere is always suffering though. I think this game acknowledges that. It made me acknowledge that. In a mass of lights in any vast city, it will be the best or worst time of somebody's life on almost any given day. The world is a deceptively dark place. Stay safe, kindred. I'm thinking of all of you.

found a nightclub. drank a woman. met a harley quinn esc character. help out the owner, who is the sister o the woman. hit f to turn on flash light. remember theres no flashlight. fed on a bystander. shot and died. didnt save for an hour. killed alot of people in anger. died again. find out the auto save was at the exact moment i died. infinite death loop. go back to previous save. at the end of tutorial. broke my capslock. 10/10 would recommend.
