Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 21 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TLDR: 7.5/10 I played this game when it first came out. That time in 2008 ( jeez that was a long time ago ), it was quite unique in its gameplay mechanics, i.e turn based shooter but needs to aim. I havent seen another game does this so there is a possibility this game might be patent or one of its kind. In any case, I replayed the game cause it was selling for cheap and it was kinda nostalgia so why not. That being said. here is what I thought about the game Pros Game mechanics: As I mentioned above, not a lot of games that is turned based and requires literal aiming. While its cool, it also can be frustrating as sometimes, shooting straight can just missed. The snipers are the one that mostly this happen but its not annoying, its just RNG. Game mechanics 2: While the above is about in the battlefield, there are some other stuffs that adds elements to the game such as potentials, orders, training, disarming and etc to ensure the game isnt boring. While this assists the player to make it more easier, "if you know what to do", you can break the game easily by doing "certain scenarios". Art Design: Not often you would see the art direction uses a water color theme as their identity. That being said, it was made in 2008 so its still holds up. Neutral Story: Story is iffy. Storywise is pretty good, i.e war is bad, here are the views from soldiers in the front line part. But then there are questionable moments that makes you go "Hmm ? Okay?". Music / Soundtrack / BGM: ? . I know there is a battle theme music but I dont recall one being rememberable. Cons The 2 worse aspect of the game : Firstly, for those who want to do achievement hunting, that means you gotta NG+ it as well as spend a lot of time grinding because I manage to get 250 soldiers achievement and finish the game by then....And also to get most of the achievement, it requires NG+ to a certain extend. Yes, you could in theory just play the game once and grind it there but its no difference than just NG+ and redoing it. The other aspect is the enemy turn animation. Once you are done with your turn, the enemy ai has to do all their walk animation + aim animation + shoot animation. While its kinda fine but if there are, let say 10 enemies in the screen + reinforcement, it eats up A LOT of time. And those entire animation varies depending if the ai wants to run all the way from their camp to your soldier face and blast them or they just turtle down or they use their tank to go 1 whole loop for no reason. In summary, every turn could take from 2 mins up to 5 mins. Lastly, for w/e reason, there is a specific map in the game where if you climb the ladder, your unit will clip out and goes out of the map. Unless you have a specific order, that character is done.... I am surprised it still hasnt been patch or fixed. So yea, thats my review of the game. If I were to ask Sega to patch this game, my first suggestion is to have a 4x / 16x / 32x fast forward for the enemy turn or skip button.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

i played this way back in the day and wasnt sure it would hold up, its still amazing, the game plays like your 'band of brothers' with permadeath of characters and a heavier tone, there is alot of talking between game scenerios but the story is pretty good
Game is too outdated
It's p good, but there's a few things I personally felt off about. Nothing major, mind you, but the occasional graphical bug during dialogue (ALL the time in character portraits when speaking), being unable to walk up specific platforms outright, and the tank controls being extremely stiff (like, more than normal. It was a specific chapter) was kinda questionable to me until I found out they were all seemingly tied to the refresh rate of my monitor. At least for the platform bugs and tank controls, they immediately ceased upon this revelation and went away when I swapped to 30 fps but.....its hard to get used to that. That said, story is alright with some good moments here and there, but it is mostly simple. Not that straightforward is bad, but it did feel like you were just going through the motions most of the time. Character wise, there's only like 5-7 relevant characters to you as a player, some of those you don't even play as (they just happen to be with your party or closely tied by affiliation). It does feel a bit strange because there's like 50 playable characters at your disposal and basically none of them have their own dialogue or lines during the story; just some details sprinkled into their bio every so often. Different in the DLC where this all changes ofc, but we're talking main game. Majority of gameplay can be boiled down to the tank rampaging through everything with a few infantry picking up the pieces and capturing objectives, but the game does switch it up every so often with "unique" gameplay elements or story-related beats. This game has Marina in it tho so at the end of the day no biggie.
A product of its time that feels outdated in every way. The overly long animations and lack of other critical QoL features make the game dull and boring.

Pontos negativos no geral

Marking as "I Don't Recommend" due to three chapters (7,14,15) having terrible game design, where you're supposed to "approach it differently" but has no direction on what to do, and it hit by trigeering events mid-combat, making for a frustrating gaming experience. Actualy won those by doing some cheese strategy like positioning units before enemy spawn and save scumming. The Good: - Liked the story, plot twists and character development - Gameplay is great when it's not BS - Reminds me of X-COM, (mostly) without the RNG problem The Bad - Graphics may be a bit jittered (at least of my RX 9070 XT, I expected more sharpness) - Game rewards how fast you end the batters, andit's usally not an interesting approach (kinda makes the levels feel lame) The Ugly - Bad chapters wiith frustrating design - Infinite Respawn on some events - Difficulty spikes ouit of the blue
8/10 before I played Valkyria Chronicles 4 this would easily have been a 9/10 or higher. Very solid entry but some normal JRPG cheesyness in the story, but still an excellent game. A ton of fun with the fights even if the first time through you have to grind a bit to level up soldiers and gear. Highly recommend playing, it a steal on sale and bundling with 4 is even better as 4 is best in serries.
A enjoyable concept that while neat and likeable is overshadowed by poor mechanics ranging from enemy order spam to mass enemy spawning. The game has a great concept and style but sometimes the game doesnt even follow its own logic causing it to become infuriating with its random difficulty spikes and the cherry on top is the tedius and utterly boring final boss, shoot 3 turrets shoot him and u gotta do it in 1 turn which just pisses me off when even in smoke somehow this bastard can see my men and one shot them. This game has for sure the worst balancing ive ever seen. Started this with a lot of enjoyment will be ending it with wanting to smash my monitor in.
