this game is absolute fire, genuinely one of the best games ive ever played
One of the best horror games I have played in recent memory! Each character has their own unique personality and fears, which makes the whole game feel alive. I figured out the two twists before that fully happened, but that didn't stop me from being surprised by how the game ended. My only slight negative is the characters are a little wonky to control sometimes, outside of that I didn't have any of the other issues people were talking about in the reviews.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Very nice story!
Just completed this game and it's awesome! The story and it's storytelling with the modern age graphics was really amazing just one thing to criticise is the character movement, daamn the characters are so slow to move we can't even make them run on our own! I really disliked this part of this game! But yes it was quite a journey 💓👌
Until Dawn is an outstanding cinematic horror experience that feels like stepping into an interactive thriller film. The character models are impressively detailed and closely resemble their real life performers. Their facial expressions, voice acting, and motion capture performances make every scene feel authentic and emotionally engaging The story is intense and suspenseful, keeping you invested in every decision. The Butterfly Effect system adds real weight to your choices, making each playthrough feel personal and meaningful. Small actions can lead to major consequences, which encourages replaying the game to explore different outcomes. The atmosphere is one of the game’s strongest elements. From the snowy mountain setting to the eerie soundtrack and camera angles, everything works together to build tension and maintain suspense from beginning to end. One minor drawback is the movement system. Players cannot freely run or walk faster whenever they choose. Instead, the game only allows faster movement in specific moments or locations. While this can feel limiting at times, it does not take away from the overall experience, as the focus remains on storytelling, exploration, and decision-making. Overall, Until Dawn delivers a gripping horror adventure with strong performances, well designed characters, and a story that keeps you thinking long after you finish. It is a must play for fans of narrative driven games and cinematic suspense.
I was sooo excited to play this finally and I can not get past the loading screen after speaking to the shrink for the first time.. 30 minutes of loading for... nothing, can anyone please help 😫
The Masterclass in Modern Horror Architecture If you think the "Teens in a Cabin" trope is dead, you haven’t played Until Dawn. This isn't just a game; it is a High-Power surgical strike on the horror genre that proves a "cliché" is only a weakness if the director is lazy. Even with the recent 2024 remake/remaster, it still deserves the title of Best Horror Game ever made. It is a mandatory Must-Buy for anyone who values a story that actually respects your intelligence. 1. The "Think You Can Do Better?" Hook The most brilliant part of Until Dawn is how it weaponizes your own judgment. We all sit there watching horror movies, yelling at the screen because the characters are being "stupid." The Reality Check: The game hands you the controller and says, "Fine—you think you can do better? Prove it." * The Trap: Suddenly, when the adrenaline hits and the "Don't Move" mechanic kicks in, you realize how easy it is to make a fatal mistake. It turns a "bad plot" into a Directive where every death is your fault, not the script's. 2. The "Hereditary" of Gaming Much like Hereditary, Until Dawn succeeds because it respects the Classic Structure while absolute-mastering the technical execution. Surgical Sound: A jump-scare from a rat is just as terrifying as the monster because the sound frequency and timing are tuned to your brain's "danger" receptors. The Voyeuristic Lens: The use of Stationary Cameras and fixed angles (especially in the new 2026-ready PC/PS5 versions) creates a "Schizo-Vision" where you are constantly looking into the dark corners, knowing the developers are secretly pulling the strings. 3. A 10-Year Plan on Steroids The level of planning here is insane. Whether you explore every inch of the mountain or rush through, the story remains Believable and Cohesive. The Pivot: The way the script flips from a human revenge story to a deep-lore creature feature is a masterwork of Cohesion. It’s not "random" like a bolt of lightning; it’s a web of "Subtle Hints" and "Butterfly Effects." Authenticity: There is no "sterile" or "clean" feeling here. The setting is weathered, the faces show real, snot-dripping panic (not "smell-the-fart" acting), and the stakes feel permanent. Final Verdict: 10/10 Until Dawn is the best piece of horror media out there because it knows exactly what it is. It doesn't try to be a "pompous blue painting." It is a loud, proud, terrifying, and brilliantly engineered nightmare. These developers are the true Masters of Horror. If you haven't played the enhanced version on PS5 or PC yet, stop watching "artsy" flops and buy this instead.
