Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 31 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

UNRESTRAINED is a straightforward first-person horror shooter that favors an old-fashioned approach over complicated modern systems. Developed by BloodRain Publishing and published by RetroScope GM, it puts players in the role of Carl, a reporter who becomes trapped inside a dangerous mental hospital inhabited by hostile mutants. The premise is simple and immediately establishes the game's priorities: survive the facility, explore its unsettling surroundings, locate the items needed to advance, and fight anything standing between Carl and his escape. Gameplay revolves around exploring enclosed environments while searching for ammunition and keys. Keys provide the main form of progression, requiring players to investigate different sections of each level rather than simply following a completely linear path toward an exit. Meanwhile, ammunition needs to be treated with some care because supplies are not meant to be wasted. This introduces a light survival element to otherwise uncomplicated shooting mechanics. Every missed shot can potentially make a later encounter more troublesome, particularly when several enemies appear before another useful supply of ammunition is discovered. Combat is deliberately simple and accessible. Three firearms are available, giving Carl a modest selection of weapons for dealing with the mutants roaming the facility. There are no elaborate upgrade trees, complicated crafting mechanics, character builds, or extensive weapon customization systems competing for attention. Instead, the focus remains on aiming accurately, managing ammunition, reacting quickly to enemies, and continuing through the environment. This minimalism works reasonably well for the type of game being presented, although players accustomed to highly polished modern shooters may find the gunplay and overall combat variety somewhat limited. The campaign consists of three large levels. Each follows the central formula of exploration, combat, item hunting, and progression, making the overall experience relatively focused. The mental hospital setting provides an appropriate backdrop for the horror theme, with confined interiors and threatening encounters helping maintain a sense of danger. There is always an incentive to check unfamiliar areas because useful ammunition or an important key might be hidden nearby. At the same time, searching more thoroughly can expose Carl to additional enemies, creating a basic risk-versus-reward element. Visually, the game intentionally adopts old-school graphics rather than pursuing contemporary realism. Its rougher presentation complements the simple shooter design and gives the experience the feeling of a small retro-inspired horror title. Players who enjoy older PC shooters or deliberately dated indie aesthetics may find this approach charming. Those expecting detailed character models, elaborate animations, cinematic lighting, or sophisticated environmental design should considerably adjust their expectations. The graphical simplicity is part of the game's identity rather than an attempt to compete with larger horror productions. Storytelling remains secondary to gameplay. Carl's identity as a reporter and the disturbing hospital scenario establish enough context to justify exploring the location and confronting its creatures, but this is not primarily a narrative-heavy psychological horror game. Much of the experience comes from moving through hostile areas and surviving rather than engaging with lengthy dialogue, cinematic sequences, or deeply developed characters. That direct approach keeps the pace moving but also limits the emotional and narrative depth that could have made the setting more memorable. The limited scope is ultimately both an advantage and a weakness. UNRESTRAINED does not overwhelm players with unnecessary mechanics and can be understood almost immediately. Find keys, preserve ammunition, eliminate mutants, explore the three levels, and survive. This simplicity makes it approachable for anyone interested in a compact retro horror shooter. However, three weapons and a relatively small campaign also mean that players searching for substantial mechanical variety, extensive replayability, or a long adventure may find the available content insufficient. Steam Deck compatibility is currently best regarded as unverified rather than officially supported. The game is designed around Windows and lists keyboard and mouse controls, so Steam Deck players may need to rely on Proton and potentially create or adjust their own controller configuration. Its modest technical requirements suggest that raw hardware performance should not be the primary concern, but the absence of an official compatibility rating means a completely trouble-free handheld experience should not be assumed. Taken as a modest indie production, UNRESTRAINED succeeds most when treated as a brief, uncomplicated horror shooter rather than an ambitious survival-horror experience. Its mutant-filled hospital, ammunition conservation, key-based exploration, retro graphics, and immediate combat provide a recognizable foundation. Greater enemy variety, deeper gunplay, stronger storytelling, and additional content could have substantially improved the experience, but there is still some appeal for players who enjoy obscure, rough-edged first-person horror games built around simple mechanics. Rating: 6/10
