Universe Horizon

Short and sweet. Liked the music and the art, as simple as it was. The progression curve is good and introduces new systems that interact with one another. It does have offline progression but you can turn it off if you want. It took me 159 hours to complete including offline progression.

Universe Horizon is a great idler / clicker game, but players should be warned there are a few lengthy stretches of true idling. You will almost certainly leave the game playing in the background while your work or otherwise go about your day. There are also a few part of the game that require you to idle while the game is focused (i.e. not in the background). Maybe there's a simple wany around this, but I didn't bother looking. Not a deal breaker for me, though, as idling at times is sort of the point of the genre. The central conceit--a spaceship getting faster and faster to eventually escape the galaxy--is interesting and fun. All of the upgrades / features / tab are smart, logical (as much as any video game can be logical), and generally well implemented. There are a few resources that are imbalanced, but this might be by design as a forced bottleneck. The offline progression is unlimited, which is always nice if you are into that sort of gameplay. You could probably "grind" your way to unlocking every feature / tab, and then close the game for week, come back, and instantly win (and complete all achievements). Again, if that's your sort of thing (no judgment if it is). I played it "straight", with only minimal offline progression while I slept, and had a great time. It was fun seeing the upgrades and my speed increase over time. Great value for the price. A top 10 idler / clicker.

Idle game about going to space and exiting the universe. Its not a bad idea for an idle game to be honest. Every time you pass certain milestones you unlock new features. You also unlock a challenge mode that unlocks other features. Pretty much the game ultimately becomes unlocking resources and features which rapidly speed up your space ship faster and faster and faster. I was able to beat and 100% the game in the span of about a week or so. The game does factor in offline progress. There is one achievement you might miss if you finish the game, but mentioned in the guides page and its just clicking on one hidden square....thats it. So you can 100% the game pretty easily in your playthrough.
