About

You installed Uninstall Me.
Nice.
This is a game with one simple job:
Behave normally.
It does not.
There is a menu.
There are buttons.
There is a mouse cursor.
And somehow, that was enough for everything to become your problem.
Do not expect an epic adventure.
Do not expect deep lore.
Do not expect the Exit button to handle rejection well.
A very dramatic main menu.
Buttons that know what you want.
Retro desktop chaos.
Fake software nonsense.
A mouse cursor doing its best.
An Exit button with commitment issues.
A short experience that probably could have been avoided.
You can try to uninstall it.
That is, technically, the point.

A meme game without much purpose or substance. Its main gimmick is that the buttons try to escape from your mouse pointer by moving around the screen. Although you can still lure them into a corner and click them, there is not much of a payoff. All that happens is a message box appears with a message that either disappears on its own or goes away when you click it. The game also has a broken launcher, as it launches together with the game "Spacewar."
Uninstall Me takes one of the most ordinary computer actions imaginable and transforms it into the foundation of an amusing interactive experience. Developed and published by Ent-Re Games, this small-scale title revolves around a program that simply refuses to behave the way software should. Instead of giving players a conventional character to control or a large environment to explore, it turns menus, buttons, cursors, and familiar computer interface elements into the playground. The premise is intentionally ridiculous, but that simplicity gives the game a distinctive personality from its opening moments. The central objective sounds easy enough: deal with the troublesome program and ultimately get rid of it. Naturally, the software has other ideas. Interface elements refuse to cooperate, expected actions produce unexpected consequences, and even something as straightforward as pressing an exit button can become part of the challenge. Much of the entertainment comes from discovering how the game will interfere with the player's next attempt. It effectively uses habits developed from years of navigating computers against the player, creating situations where instinctively clicking the obvious option is not necessarily the solution. Gameplay has a point-and-click flavor, although describing it purely as a traditional point-and-click game does not quite capture its personality. The computer interface itself effectively becomes the environment. Players interact with whatever appears on screen, respond to unusual behavior, and work through a succession of tricks and comedic obstacles. There is a mild puzzle-solving quality to figuring out what the game expects, but the emphasis is much more heavily placed on surprise and humor than difficult logical challenges. It frequently feels like an interactive comedy routine in which the software is actively trying to annoy the person sitting in front of it. The humor relies heavily on absurdity, memes, exaggerated reactions, fake software behavior, and fourth-wall-breaking ideas. There is no need for an elaborate fantasy universe or extensive backstory because the joke works through the relationship between the player and the application itself. The game understands that users expect buttons to behave predictably and menus to perform specific functions, then deliberately disrupts those expectations. This approach can create some genuinely funny moments, particularly when an apparently harmless interaction suddenly escalates into something far more elaborate than necessary. Its retro-inspired presentation fits the concept particularly well. Pixel graphics and colorful 2D interface elements create the impression of using strange software from an earlier era of personal computing. The straightforward visual design also helps communicate jokes quickly because recognizable windows, menus, and controls do not require explanation. The game can establish what an interface element is supposed to accomplish and then immediately undermine that expectation. It is a clever example of visual simplicity being used as part of the gameplay rather than merely serving as an inexpensive artistic choice. Players should nevertheless understand that this is deliberately a small and relatively linear experience. It is built around a central gimmick rather than an enormous collection of mechanics, progression systems, environments, or narrative branches. Its strongest moments depend on not knowing what strange behavior will happen next, so some of the novelty inevitably disappears after the surprises have been discovered. Anyone searching for dozens of hours of content, deep character development, extensive exploration, or substantial replay value may find the experience limited. For players who enjoy short experimental games, however, that focused structure can actually be an advantage because the concept does not need to be stretched far beyond its natural lifespan. The modest presentation also results in very accessible hardware demands. This is not a game built around advanced rendering, enormous environments, or intensive simulation. Its lightweight 2D design makes it suitable for relatively modest PCs and keeps the focus on interaction rather than technical spectacle. The small storage requirement further reinforces its identity as a quick, self-contained experience that can be installed and played without a major commitment, which is particularly amusing considering that installation and removal are fundamental parts of its joke. Steam Deck compatibility is currently best regarded as unverified rather than officially confirmed as Verified or Playable. The lightweight graphics and simple interaction style suggest that the hardware itself should not be the primary obstacle, but the game's reliance on mouse-like cursor movement and desktop-style interface interactions could make controls more important than raw performance. Steam Deck owners should therefore expect that trackpad or customized controller input may be preferable if native controller behavior is incomplete. Until an official compatibility assessment is available, it should not be treated as guaranteed to provide a completely seamless handheld experience. What makes the game memorable is how thoroughly it commits to a single silly idea. The player wants control over the software, while the software seemingly wants control over the player. That small conflict provides enough room for visual jokes, unexpected interactions, fake interface behavior, and playful frustration. It does not pretend to offer the depth of a major adventure, and appreciating it depends largely on enjoying experimental indie games that are willing to make the interface itself part of the joke. As a compact comedic experience, Uninstall Me is imaginative, accessible, and knowingly absurd. Its limited length and reliance on novelty prevent it from having the lasting mechanical depth of a larger game, but those limitations are balanced by a clear identity and an entertaining premise. For players who enjoy unconventional point-and-click experiences, retro computer aesthetics, fourth-wall humor, and games that deliberately mess with familiar expectations, it offers an entertaining little confrontation with the world's most stubborn piece of software.
