About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

everyone play unbeatable pls the story and arcade are both amazing

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is the definition of an indie game. It has bugs and glitches that are obvious in the story mode but you can absolutely see the passion that the devs of the game have. It may have taken me only a couple of hours to beat the story but I was starting to cry by the end of it. The music is the main selling point of this game for a reason since it's not only what hooked me into playing the demo but it's what has been keeping me playing this game. If anyone reads this please try this game cause it is 100% worth the money.
This isn't a black and white Negative review, and under specific circumstance I could recommend this game, but overall I was very letdown. Coming as a white label player I was so excited for this game, but The story and its pacing and general presentation are awful. For its entire runtime the game acts like you secretly already know everything. Every single character vaugeposts about literally everything. When that's not happening characters will drop paragraphs of poorly written dialogue that don't really go anywhere or further your understanding of them, the world this game takes it or the story. ALL of the "antagonist" characters during the game are either underbaked, starved for screentime, or barley characters at all. Not a single one of them say a line of substance in the whole games runtime. The game also has a habit of hard cutting off scenes in the most awkward ways possible, with conversation that don't get proper resolutions. Chapter 2 is the biggest offender of this by far and cemented it as the worst chapter for me. By the end any emotional beats that should have hit hard did nothing due to just how much the rest of the story misses. This review (like the story mode) is kinda a mess, and there's a lot more issues I want to list but wording them right is really stumping me. I urge you to look into other reviews about the story mode for more details on why it really doesn't work. Gameplay however, Is amazing. its everything i loved about white label and more, when they use it. Chapter 1 has basically no rhythm sections, and chapter 2 mostly uses the new vertical rhythm system that's... ok. Defiantly doesn't feel as good as the much more refined and stylized horizontal system. Chapter 3 and on you get to use the horizontal system much more and the gameplay becomes pretty fun. Arcade mode is where its at tho, just the great gameplay and amazing OST for you to play to your hearts content. And despite not liking the story mode and only having 8hrs at the time of review, I know I'll get a lot of milage out of the arcade mode. Visually this game is stunning with a style I absolutely adore, and its music really something special. I'll be listening to tracks from the OST for years to come. TLDR: UNBEATABLE is mostly style with the remnants of substance that was ruined by abhorrent writing and presentation decisions. If your just here for a really good arcade rhythm game, you'll love UNBEATABLE so much. But if your banking on the story mode for the enjoyment I could not recommended this less.
Unbeatable is a game with incredible visuals and music that, for some reason, fights tooth and nail to keep me NOT wanting to play it. I'll start with the praise, and there are quite a few things to praise it for, the visuals are definitely the first thing i focused on and for good reason, the art style for this game is truly unique and, when coupled with its music, makes for an incredible artistic piece that makes it hard to pull your eyes away from. However... there's the bad. The story is, at best, confusing, from jump cuts to nowhere in particular, parts which are glossed over and unexplained, to some things just thrown in there "because", this game's story is one that feels suited for a youtuber to make a half hour commentary on and not something I'm meant to actively look at, no matter how much i tried to drift towards it, the game just kept moving on and on without elaborating anything, which disappointed me. The gameplay is where this really gets grating though, I'm saying this as someone who actively played rhythm games such as Osu! and Rhythm Heaven extensively, the rhythm sections annoy me to no end. Ignoring the camera shakes and the game throwing the camera wherever it wants mid song since you can disable them pretty easily, (the game tells you so), my main problem is that, much like the story, everything is just all over the damn place. There are moments where the game just expects you to know where to go, hell they even joke about it, sections where you are forced to do a monotonous task for no reason which you can either follow thoroughly or do it completely incorrectly just to get it over with, (both leading to the exact same result), and the music sections... the part of the game i CAME for are ALSO all over the place! WHY in gods name are there two separate lines for hitting scores? why do i have to worry about left and right BUT ONLY one at a time? why the hell is the transition so sudden? I can be playing the most perfect notes on one side and then the game switches with no warning to a note i have no time to respond to on the other side just to make me miss. "Oh you're supposed to lean into the music" you might say and play the notes by feel instead of just relying on your eyes, you naive little soul, the game doesnt even follow that minimal guideline of the notes fitting the damn beats all the time, there are songs where the damn hits are completely different, or just slightly off, or maybe by a miracle they're perfectly timed, how would i know? I just came back out of the "Press the F button until the next cutscene" simulator and all of a sudden I should guess how the music goes next. It all eventually just boiled down to me having to do some songs more than once not because they're *hard* or anything, i just had to keep throwing my head against the wall until i realized "OH THATS WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING?". I just needed to rant about this, if you read to the end congrats, maybe I'll find a way to give you a virtual hug and pat on the back, if you have anything to say to change my view, feel free to do it, i enabled comments on this review, Iit just feel like after giving it 4 hours the game should at least make me want to keep playing it.
🎶 You're just a part of my life and you're just a part of my life you're just a part of my life, aaah... and I won't get rid of you 🎶
