About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.

FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

One of the highest forms of praise I can give Unbeatable, is that you can tell that it is a passion project. There's just this, energy behind every single moment. Like I can reach through my screen and feel the love and passion that was poured into it. It makes me want to go out there and make something, and I think that's the greatest thing a work of art can do. It also helps that the game is objectively really damn good.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I like to judge a game on 5 different aspects from 0 to 10, with 10 being "no flaws" If it scores an 11 on an aspect, it means it goes beyond having no flaws, and is a masterpiece in that aspect. So here's my review of UNBEATABLE Gameplay: 8/10 The Arcade is where it's at, and for a rhythm game of this type, it's pretty fun. The problems with it stem from it being a "scroller with multiple buttons". The game doesn't seem to care if you're playing in rhythm or not, so there's a distinct lack of sound/visual cues to know exactly when you need to hit a note. The only way to make sure if something is a regular off beat or something else is by waiting for it to reach the circle, which is pretty bad design. This could've been easily fixed by just adding more lines with lower opacity to the score that scrolls with the notes. It is so apparent that the game doesn't care about rhythm when you can spam both buttons in a lv20 and still survive. (I'm not lying, I did this with Proper Rhythm Bootleg) Even if I hit a note with a perfect, it doesn't feel snappy, unlike most 1 button rhythm games. Also, the UI is really confusing to navigate, but that's not that big of a problem. Visual Identity: 10/10 The game's anime style visuals are just amazing. The only reason it doesn't get an 11 (masterpiece) is because it's very similar to other pieces of media, like Persona for example. Sound and Music: 10/10 The only reason I bought this game is because Jamie Paige is my favorite musician. Despite of that, the game's sound and music are really good. The alternate options for hit sound are terrible though, I'd consider adding better ones. Replayability: 10/10 The multiple difficulties and leaderboards for the Arcade are nice, but the reason this scores a 10 is custom levels. Story: 1/10 As a player of many games, you cannot care about the story of every single game that you play, so the rule of thumb is simple: "I'll start to care about the story when the rest of the game, mainly the gameplay, entices me." Take a wild guess how long it takes for the first rhythm section to appear in story mode. That's right, 45 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minutes. This is the biggest sin of the story of this game, there is almost no rhythm gameplay. It's 95% story, 5% gameplay. It's like playing Minecraft Story Mode without the Minecraft. It's technically fine to have a game that is only story (although at that point you should probably make an animated series). The real problem is that this is advertized as a Rhythm Game and not a Visual Novel, which is correct when you ignore the Story Mode and go straight to the Arcade. I'm so deep into the critique and I haven't even gotten to the actual story! That's how I felt when I didn't ever get to the rhythm portion of the rhythm game. Anyways, the story's pacing is akin to One Piece, where nothing ever happens. If there's dialogue in your story and it doesn't serve to 1. advance the story or 2. learn about a character, then it should not be included. A quick example of a useless scene in the game that happens MULTIPLE TIMES is when you choose food to put in your tray. That's the type of dialogue that needs to be cut because it serves absolutely no purpose other than to bore the player. The ONE merit I can give to the story are the response options you're given, which are sometimes pretty funny. I'll also take the moment to talk about the bad things about the story mode gameplay, the ones not rhythm related. 1. When you first boot the game, you will have no idea what the confirm keybind is. I'm not gonna tell you here either, good luck! :D 2. There's no visual cue to know if you're doing the calibration correctly (I wouldn't know if my input was registering) 3. There's no indication to where you should be going when you're walking around, so often I have no idea what I need to interact with in a room. 4. The camera is sometimes glitchy and doesn't follow you correctly. 5. The NPCs cannot effectively follow you, and will constantly get stuck around walls. So with that all being said, go immediately to the Arcade, the Story Mode is not worth your time. My final score for this game is: 7/10 Alright I only recommend this game if you're a fan of Vocaloid songs, you're not doing bad financially, and you go straight to the Arcade mode. I guess I could also recommend it if you like visual novels with poor writing and lots of personality.
its peak but there's some very obvious issues. the game does pick it self up by the second half and it has a really strong ending.
i was counting the scary little girl’s jumps but the game never stops you and i got really good at it so i counted until 1016 and all i got was an achievement and another insult…
You ever play one of those indie games that changes your view on life in a way you never expected when you started?
Не хватит всех добрых слов, что бы описать как эта игра прекрасна!
Do you like music, video games, breathing, being cool and awesome? or just hate fascism? Give this game at least a try, even if you've never played a rhythm game in your life :7
