About
Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts aims to be the first game of its kind - a true naval warfare game - which offers a unique opportunity to design and build countless variations of realistic looking warships combined with an extremely in-depth and realistic combat model. We are absolutely excited with what we are making and we hope everyone who is interested about the dreadnought era and naval warfare, will join our ambitious project and support us.
BUILD THE BATTLESHIPS THE WAY YOU WANT
Become the architect of powerful warships, from small torpedo boats to mighty Battleships! Recreate famous ships such as the HMS Dreadnought and countless speculative designs. Pick turret layout, armor scheme, funnel placement, tower variations making each ship look and feel unique. Their hull characteristics, internal upgrade selection and weight distribution not only modifies their speed and maneuverability but also their weapon effectiveness. Every design detail of your warships has a significant effect on the combat capability of your ships.
STRONG AI
Naval combat becomes immersive and feels even more realistic when your opponent is able to react to your actions with a human-like and unexpected behavior. The AI evaluates the optimal engagement distance, using principles of the “Immunity Zone” and comparing its own firepower versus your ships. The AI uses ammunition wisely, holding fire when necessary or switching shell types according to the armor protection of the target. Unless there is a special mission directive, the AI will not act suicidally and will attempt to withdraw, if its fleet becomes heavily damaged or it is much weaker than yours.
NAVAL ACADEMY & CUSTOM BATTLES
The Custom Battle system allows you to experiment and enjoy naval battles utilizing endless combinations of ship designs in technology eras between the years 1890 and 1950 for ten different nations. Additionally, there is the “Naval Academy” which currently includes 63 battle scenarios, where you will have to design a ship or a squadron to fulfill a certain combat tactical task. These numerous missions will allow you to practice and enjoy the many innovative design and combat aspects of the game.
THE CAMPAIGN
You can fully design your fleet, immerse yourself in epic naval battles and make crucial strategic decisions on the map with a single goal to defeat your opponents by annihilating their fleets and strangling their economy. The map includes necessary historical and strategic aspects that can simulate actual facts of the period 1890-1940.

Reviews
I cannot recommend this since the game has been abandoned and there are many unresolved bugs. Interface is clunky. Performance is also really bad. This is sad considering this could be a great game if all those issues could be fixed.
This is a good game if you are a massive fan of naval millitary history or you watch the campains on youtube. If it is on sale then that is even better.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

very fun
I can't give this game a good review despite still finding enjoyment in playing it because it's just such an unfinished mess that's been entirely abandoned after pushing out one final insult in the form of a cash grab Multiplayer DLC. One of the main modes, Naval Academy which is a series of challenge scenarios designed to "teach" you ship design and some history, almost seems to be intentionally broken to frustrate the player. The game pretends like these "puzzles" have many different solutions depending on the approach you want to take, but then it'll throw you into a comically unfair scenario where it kneecaps your own technology and gives the AI ships technology that you literally cannot compete with. Imagine if you will, being given a mission to destroy the Yamato with a single battleship and all you have access to are parts from battleships destroyed at Pearl Harbor. Some of them are actually that bad, and the game will lie to your face and be like, "Oh yeah there's lots of clever ways to get past this challenge!" The mass of ship design options don't exist to reward clever design, they only exist to be exploited to get around the games incredibly janky simulation and brutally unfair scenarios (note that I have not really touched the campaign mode but from everything I've read it's even worse). I'd say skip and play From the Depths instead, it's more complex and less focused but the developers knew that the core systems come first and you'll actually feel accomplished learning the game and refining designs. Building a "winning design" in UAD feels more like solving a blank puzzle, when you finish it you just feel like you wasted your time shuffling random pieces around until it works.
Was solid when it came out, but abandoning it after about a year, especially when charging a lot of money for the Early Access before Steam. So, if you're looking for a game like this. Look for a similar one.
fun
Its a really good game at its core and it is really fun to play, especially the campaign. The real only major problem I have encountered is when you update the game and launch it your saves are evaporated. which is infuriating because i had 2 saves on separate versions of the game that i had spent 40+ hours on. The first one was lost because i didn't know of this problem. the second one was because i had uninstalled the game for a bit and reinstalled it and there must have been a hotfix or something because my save was gone. overall good game and really fun campaign if you dont mind your save being deleted with any update.
Abandoned project... If only I could get my money back...
