UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games that span a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Nintendo publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Reviews
Before buying, I expected these 50 games to be some sort of mini-games (kind of like Warioware on GBA), but these are 50 FULL-SIZED GAMES. I went on the UFO 50 Wiki and checked how many levels are in Campanella (one of the game) -- 50 levels. Another game has 25 full original levels. I also think there is a visual novel but I haven't checked all of the 50 games there If you would ever buy a game, it's better be this one

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great!

Bushido Ball.
There's a charming novelty in the meta presentation of these games as all made by the same fictional studio & developers for fictional consoles. That's cute and fun. But the real killer here is that the games are all good. I'm repeating every other review here, but every single one of these games does something clever or interesting or exciting. I'd say that a majority of them are a steal at the asking price of the whole collection (never mind the sale price) and you could sink dozens of hours into them. Here are five personal favourites. Check em out when you get the game.

Magic Garden
Party House
Grimstone
Pilot Quest
Seaside Drive
(P.S. The most insightful comment I've seen on this game was a Bluesky post that said something along the lines of, "UFO 50 is 2010s indie game design nostalgia disguised as 1980s retro game design nostalgia".)
What a fun selection of retro-inspired games! Most of the 50 games are clearly inspired by their NES counterparts (think Metroid, Final Fantasy, and things of the like) while others are completely unique experiences with genuinely fun and engaging mechanics. All 50 games have quality of life features that *generally* rid them of the jank that comes with original NES games but still have that retro feel to them. The spread of genres across all 50 games makes it so nearly anybody can find a good chunk they enjoy, however that also means that not every game is going to be up your alley. The price paid is well worth it, especially considering about a 1/4 of the games are co-op! Why not dust a few cartridges off and give them a try?
Reminds me of the good old days when I was 8 years old... and my parents bought me a handheld console called Coleco Sonic with 20 games. Brings back a lot of nostalgia. On the flight to Japan I would play these games, and not necessarily know how they all worked. This amazing system tapped into that extremely well. You having no instructions... but to discover not only all the games like I did but how each of them worked on their own.
Peak
Came here expecting a retro homage and this is a bit different. This is a collection of modern indie game sensibilities that on one hand are based on classic gameplays, but on the other it makes them a bit weird amd awkward. Not all games will grow on you fast (I don't like deck builders or turn based strategic games in general) but it does not take much to start getting the quirks that makes them slightly easier, usually by pure chance. I have played just a few hours, but I have already beaten one game that is a bit like Zelda but not, a bit like Atic Atac but not, a bit like Metroid but not.
