UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games that span a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Nintendo publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
At first these 50 games feel small in scope, frustrating, and overall not worth the time. But pushing past that reveals each one was made with care and has depth not immediately evident. It’s clear that this collection was made with extreme care and experienced game design leading to several moments where I started a game and found a true gem that takes hours to master. This game to me truly represents the creation of games as an artistic medium and shows there is no limitation to what can be created.
very fun great value.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Fantastic game/games. If you are amicable to any type of 2d game, there will be at least one here that hooks you. Easily worth the money, even more worth it on sale. TBH I want whoever made Valbrace to make a Valbrace 2 using 16-bit style graphics, I would buy that solo in a heartbeat.
The only evidence that God might exist
Costs 25 dollars and is worth more than every $70 game on the market. Combined.
Reminds me of my NES and SNES childhood.
There's a lot of high quality games in here, but there are also some real stinkers. Obviously I refuse to just NOT PLAY THOSE because I want to beat all the games. But it'd probably be way more fun if you just stuck to the good stuff like Party House, Rail Heist, Attactics, Mortol, Devilition, Mini & Max, Avianos, Mooncat, and Diskonia Gold, and didn't bother with Combatants, Onion Delivery, or Diskonia Cherry. Actually, Camouflage, Campanella, and Warptank are all really good too... I haven't even played all these yet and there are still too many good ones to remember them all off the top of my head. But BOY are the bad ones REALLY bad.
Recommended for two players with a taste for discovery
UFO 50 is a little gem or a collection of little gems. But of course, the results for you may vary, as most of the games will be scouted quickly, and then you'll decide to play for fun for different reasons. Most games are simple to understand and play, but carry a fun and also very original element. For this reason, I think it's great to think it as a two player game as many games are enjoyable as two people (and can still be played alone). With my daughter, we settled on PARTY HOUSE, a turn by turn digital boardgame which I found quite original and with interesting mechanics. The mechanics are not complex enough to secude very deep strategy players, but incredibly well thought out on their own and working with many fun themes. You add special characters to your deck and you play to "succeed at a party". With every night you expand your apartment and contacts. There are characters such as "your old buds", which are not very popular, others who are rich but boring so do not animate the party, troublesome partyholics who can make the police come and close the party, or even "the introverted" who actually like the house to be empty (a very large house and some introverted together would score a lot for a successful, relaxing night :) ). She herself asks for a new game every time she comes. Party House by itself would be a good game at 8 dollars, even more if you could play it with three players. With my son, who is older, we had fun with some other games such as Morta. There are many games I haven't tried yet. It's hard to know if the game would warrant in total the duration I usually tag for games - which is "at least one hour of fun for one dollar". At full price this would mean 24 hours of game time which I am still far of as I play it occasionally with my children. But it definitely did it's worth already in good memories to share as two players, and in originality. The developers of this collection definitely deserve awards and good words, it was a tremendous work and honestly a good number of ideas that really deliver. I got it on discount, but I am glad I did. Especially good if playing with one adult + child as you can "ground" their needs and interactions into something rather cool, safe, fun and humble to share together.
50 NES-size games with very high quality. The games explore lots of ideas and game concepts, but the design philosophy and background meta-narrative tie them into a cohesive whole that makes it much more than just a bundle of games.
