UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games that span a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Nintendo publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.

God Bless UFO 50
Action 52 (NES) but it's good, full of creative ideas and so much fun.
Basically impossible to not find *something* you like in here. There's many games you expect to be short that you slowly come to realize are much, MUCH longer than the price would indicate. Absolutely ridiculous level of value just in general.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A collection of retro game from an alternate universe
...OK! welcome to
ACTION 52'S ALTERNATIVE TIMELINE!
(Insert Doctor Strange's meme here) So... I won't explain ♥♥♥♥ (I don't need to) but, actually, I got only the one...
How in sweet heaven's Lord did this game NOT win the 2024's Goty?? simply Outrageous!
I've only played 12 of the 50 games in this compilation, but I would easily pay $5 for a standalone version of Velgress, Ninpek, Attactics, Magic Garden, and Kick Club, and I would probably even pay $10 for a standalone version of Devilition, Bushido Blade, and Mortol. For $25 you are getting a collection of games that are not just good when compared to each other, but a collection of games that rival some classic indie darlings (think Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge). There is such a wide array of concepts, and genres, and ideas on display, and all of them are full of love and polished to a mirror sheen. It is simply outrageous. I think UFO 50 might be one of my favorite games of all time, and I've barely even put any time into it.

Game of The Millenium strange how most negative review players have less than 5 hours of playtime
It is astonishing that the developers of Spelunky 1 and 2 which both fall into a very specific genre understood the very core of what makes gaming fun to an extent that they could produce such a high quality game collection with so many genres. I will update my review continuosly as I play through these games: 1) Barbuta: C 2) Bug Hunter: A 3) Ninpek: B 4) Paint Chase: A 6) Mortol: S 9) Attactics: B 11) Kick Club: A 13) Mooncat: A 16) Camouflage: A 17) Campanella: A 19) The Big Bell Race: C 21) Waldorf's Journey: A 22) Porgy: B 25) Party House: S 31) Pingolf: A 34) Overbold: A 36) Hyper Contender: A 41) Lords of Diskonia: B 42) Night Manor: A 48) Seaside Drive: A
A fantastic collection of retro games! There's an impressive level of polish across the board, I was amazed by how complete each game feels. There's a lot of variety in the genres represented; I particularly enjoyed seeing games that implement a more modern genre in a retro setting. I completed 40 games and earned 30 cherries. I made a personal ranking of all of the games; my top tier of games has Warptank, Grimstone, Kick Club, Seaside Drive, Pingolf, and Mortol 2. Some of my friends have wildly different rankings; I'm sure you'll find something you'll love in the collection!
