Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tyranny is totally worth buying and getting into still in 2025. Refreshingly Unique Experience This game’s world and concept are so unique to any other game I have experienced. The world building/lore is very good and the rest of the game was designed around it. The depth that the developers put into the dialogue/story choices is amazing. Aside from some small conversations with background NPCs, 90% of dialogue and dialogue choices has some later impact on the game. Play it Your Own Way I will say this to anyone coming to reviews to look for info, even the rare in-depth guides about this game get things wrong or have "important" information that you can totally ignore and choose to play the game by your own intuition. Though this game is older, it just doesn’t seem to have been popular enough for wiki sights or game-play guides to get extremely in depth details about most of the game. As an example, the game itself has an option to reveal what relationship effects your choices will cause and even that isn’t accurate on a lot of choices. BUT, this a good thing tbh. It’s a rare experience to play a game where you actually can’t rely on the internet to tell you every detail about the game that you want it to. As you play the game again and again, you really feel like you are discovering new paths and choices nobody else has ever done quite like you. It turns this game into an experience where you get to truly enjoy exploration and experimentation by trying new character, story, and even combat choices that you hadn't previously attempted. Difficulty and Combat The main difficulty level options only seem to influence combat. Other than that, it may also influence certain skill checks. EASY - easy makes combat so easy that not even beginners to this kind of game should be playing on this difficulty. I see easy as being for those who truly just want to experience the story lines. By playing easy, you should be able to breeze through combats. NORMAL - If you have never played games with combat like this, play on normal difficulty. HARD - If you have a good grasp on the depth of the combat system or have completed the game before, consider playing on hard. As far as I can tell, the a.i. seems a bit smarter as well as increasing the number of and types of enemies in certain encounters. POTD - If and only if you are a sadist, play on POTD. If you’re not a sadist, what are you doing playing POTD? All jokes aside, POTD is the only way to be truly tested on your ability to master the combat mechanics of this game. I highly recommend that you do not simply follow the most extremely efficient strategies for success in POTD. Instead, find your own path through it, even if you struggle at times. Often, when I have struggled on POTD, all I needed to do was come into combat a bit more prepared by using items or reallocating the spell slots for my combat. In my experiences of Normal and Hard difficulty, I almost never needed to use items or rest to recover from wounds. In POTD, I found myself needing to not only hold onto consumables, but actually use them to prepare for fights. Sale or No Sale? As much as I have enjoyed this game, I still suggest waiting on a sale. I was able to get the whole game and all DLC for only $26. Just the game was $8 on the sale if you wanted to know. In my opinion, the quality of the game and DLC feels like it should be worth around $30-$40 (So maybe $20 would be a good price for just the game). The base game currently sells for $30 when it’s not on sale. So I personally think it’s worth the wait for a sale. This game can easily be your next 40 - 100+ hours of entertainment.

I really wish there was a sequel to this game. The last part felt kinda rushed and didn't give a satisfying conclusion. Not to mention that (spoilers warning):
you never actually get to witness or hear what the mysterious overlord Kyros looks like.
I always wished I would get that opportunity before the game ends.
I would give this a sideways thumb if I could. I like the basic idea that you are in service to the bad guy, and can choose to be either Darth Vader evil or somewhat decent and make decisions based on that. But the story writing isn't great. I was so annoyed that I (as basically a legal clerk) had to do an entire army's work for them. What are they even there for? I also didn't find the characters to be memorable or noteworthy. Practically, I found the puzzles to be incredibly boring (collect X stones or rubbings, etc), and the layout of the various levels was very annoying. I often had to wait a long time while my characters ran a winding route just to get back to the spot where they could hit the exit. And then there were the times when I had to wait for them to run to something like a rope, click on the rope, and then wait for them to run to the exit. It eventually got frustrating enough that I dropped the game entirely. I also didn't find the combat interesting or fun. It's just okay.
Шикарная игра, хороший сюжет, интересные персонажи. Не длинная, что идет ей только в плюс, берите, не пожалеете.
Best in class CRPG, tbh. Spellcrafting system is a true delight.
Obsidian and Paradox, while currently names that are anathema to quality storytelling and game design, used to produce genuinely good games with solid world building. This cRPG is a sterling example of those times. Right from the get-go you assume the role of a character with an actual history that you meticulously construct, and it truly influences how you may interact with the world. You also make a series of choices that not only determine the state of a collection of nations that you have to finish conquering, but also your starting relationship with an assortment of warriors, scholars, savages and demigods that WILL be integral as to how the the campaign progresses and ends. The soundtrack is absolutely enthralling. It's classic Copper/Bronze Age Sword and Sorcery fare, reminiscent of the likes of Conan the Barbarian or Kull the Conqueror. Unlockable items, equipment, and stat points that you permanently acquire just by beating the game can be carried over into the next playthrough, heavily improving replayability and incentivizing exploration. Recommended that you get on sale, both because the discount on this game is extremely generous, and so that the present Obsidian and Paradox receive only pennies rather than dollars.
Need Tyranny 2.
It runs fine but it feels like a castrated version of a full sized RPG that you might actually care about.
i tried..oh i tried so hard..but this game is TRASH!!! this is not a videogame, its a interactive novel.
Pillars of Eternity, but you're on the 'bad' side. You can still be orderly, but also a psychopath.
