This Game could easily being used in every computer science course of study. I, for myself, have a degree in technical computer science and this game has many of the knowledge we learned in one course. Also it is very entertaining. On top it teaches you very subtle a very good lesson for life: One step after the other. Starting small and adding small things to your knowledge and after some time you find yourself in a selfmade computer. This is pretty much what gaming should be, learning very much while having fun.

I used to be able to run the game just fine, but after a certain update, it crashes every time I open it. I sent the logs to the developers over a year ago and never got a response. Since I've played it for a while, I can't refund it
Go into this completely blind and get stumped on the XOR circuit for as long as you can take the discomfort, then learn the basics of Boolean Algebra and apply it. I promise you, you'll get a bigger dopamine hit from that than any of your other games have to offer.
This is amazing. If you care about Computer Science, please get this game. I want to build a computer and make microslop go brankrupt now It goes all the way from "what is a NAND gate" to "What is the Call stack, what is assembly, what is a program." When I first got into it I had no idea how expansive it would be in terms of Features and Control. You can write your own documentation, your own assembly instructions, and even access Files, the network, and Keyboard with your own computer. This game also doubles as one of the best logic simulators I have seen
Turing Complete is a unique logic game with a novel approach to the puzzle genre. It's also one of the few games out there that are [b]truly educational.[/b] Remarkably so. Solving levels will reward you with the possibility of improving your CPU architecture until it is versatile enough to solve small programming challenges. This game is a perfect balance of "hardware" levels (involving logic gates and wires) and "software" levels (programming in assembly to solve challenges). And to reassure those like me who are afraid of coding in assembly because of the language's reputation: the code does not use a standard assembly language. It uses [i]your[/i] assembly language. You define the aliases you want to use for operations and addresses, depending on how you wired your CPU. And this is surprisingly intuitive and rewarding. [b]However the game is kind of hard[/b] and requires a solid logic intuition and programming skills. Definitely not for everyone. But if you think it might be for you, give it a serious try. You don't have to be a computer scientist, nor a mathematician to enjoy this game. But being a nerd helps! I have restarted and finished this game 4 or 5 times now. I kind of wish there were extra levels or a community level editor. I'm sure there are ways to extend this game by a lot, even though it might be getting into more complex aspects of modern CPU architecture. I know there is the sandbox mode, but it's hard to define your own goal.

As someone who's neither taken any CS or EE classes, and generally isn't a 'puzzle game' person, this is fantastic
Excellent game for anyone curious how real computers are built — from basic logic gates and simple circuits all the way up to a working ALU and CPU-style building blocks. I’m a software developer, and I loved how hands-on and incremental it is: you’re not just solving puzzles, you’re wiring together the pieces that actually make computation work. You don’t need a formal computer science background to enjoy it, but if you’ve ever wondered what’s “under the hood,” this game explains it in the most satisfying way. Highly recommended.
