Your truck is magic and you now owe a soul debt to the buff isekai elf girl living in your head. Run over pedestrians as Truck-kun in a chaotic OVA-sized campaign, make deliveries, and defeat the Skeleton King across two worlds in this anime driving game with heart!
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →

Carissa Ward was all set to start her new job as the VP of marketing--until YOU hit her with your truck and transported her consciousness to a world of fantasy and magic! Rather than accept her fate, gathering a party and going on a journey of growth and self-discovery, Carissa uses all her knowledge of anime tropes and Japanese RPGs to find a different path:

Pressed into the service of the newly-incarnated buff anime elf, you'll speed your magic delivery truck to complete objectives across two worlds in a focused and flavorful OVA-sized campaign, running over pedestrians, sending them to another world as Truck-kun, and helping Carissa power up a Galactic Gate with the stars you generate together. The Skeleton King waits on the other end of the great divide, and the only way Carissa is getting home is to take a Scroll of Resurrection from his weird, dead, bony hands.
Good luck!!!
Dodge cops, make deliveries, and smash through objects in the chaotic small town of Wenvale, USA!
Complete objectives across two worlds to power up a Galactic Gate with stars and unlock a subversive, heartwarming story rooted in our love for anime.
Run over pedestrians to turn them into monsters Carissa can slay for stars and XP. It's fine! Don't worry! Stop thinking about it!!
Energetic, ska-inspired soundtrack by award-winning composer David Mason (Dredge, Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3).
A giant, screaming man whose meat you can legally drive through.

This review is more "neutral" than "negative", but I'll keep it in red until dev will address problems with achievements and optimization. This game is cool anime parody of Crazy Taxi with a bit of Carmageddon thrown in, and I really enjoyed first three-four hours which I spent on getting to finale. However, there are way too many things which make me to discourage people from buying this game (especially for full price). Game is somewhat weak from technical standpoint. It rarely lags, but it heats my notebook more than some recent AAA-titles. I also got bug when pause screen does NOT really pauses game and my truck keeps going places without my control (and timer is ticking too). As final punchline, Flow State achievement is not working properly - never got it despite finishing ~1200 objectives already. Game is also swallow in content. It lacks some easy-to-think-about QoL features, like stats of how many billboards you broke, how many objectives you have finished - outside of story goals. Maybe it's in game, but I haven't seen it. Also, playing demo, I hoped game would feature some unlockable, changeable locations (like Promise Mascot Agency for example) or few maps (like Simpsons: Hit and Run). No dice here - it's just one big same location which you learn of in one, maybe two, sessions. And while gameplay loop is easy and fun, I wonder if "isekai" part of game could have been better with some additional goals or progress system (skill tree or incremental game, maybe?) and truck-kun needing more interesting mechanics (aside of oh-so-annoying drift for sake of drifting).

Fui atropelado por uma moto, meu joelho quebrou e estou de cama desde que comprei esse jogo no lançamento 10/10
Such a genuinely fun mash up of Crazy Taxi and Katamari. It takes good bits of both while not feeling the need to commit to the exact specifications of either one. I could spend a lot of time learning to perfect my runs.
Cringe so bad I wish I was the one hit by a truck.
I will join the other reviews with the lack of content (or variety at least). Story is good, cool soundtrack, gameplay is fun, the (single) is well made, but it is not enough when you're doing the same mini objectives in a loop. It gets stale after ~1h, good thing it only lasts 3. Now it's not a bad game. I'm only allowing myself to put a negative review because it's already positive. But it could use some additional challenges so the second half of the game feels less grindy.
This is a pretty good bite-size game with a banger soundtrack, funny writing, good writing and remarkable art. I would rate it as a solid 8/10 game, the only thing that keeps it from being more is that even for being bite-size... once you've played it for 10 minutes you have the entire gameplay loop, the entire play area and every type of objective encountered. The sad thing is that the last ten minutes of the game shows there's space for a bit more creativity with the formula, but it never really manifests elsewhere in the game. You're also kind of subject to a lot of randomness since some objectives(smash ANY object, smash CARS, smash PEDESTRIANS) are trivial while others(smash trash objects, smash beach chairs) require you to go to more or less a single area or hunt down relatively rare types of objects, and the game values and weights them about the same. Still, minor gripes aside, I am waiting eagerly for the next Strange Scaffold game.
[strike]This game taught me how to drive.[/strike] My lawyer has advised me to revise my review as follows: This game taught me how to love.
Carissa: Send Dudes! Driver: Don't you mean nudes! Carissa: I'm in a fight, I need more men!
