Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Good variety of characters gameplaywise with interesting skills. There are no generics (like final fantasy tactics/tactics ogre) with all your playable units as proper characters although only a handful of them are important to the overall story, There is not as much late game/post game depth as those other titles but it is a less grindy game and there is plenty of replayability due to branching story paths. I think they do a good job in keeping battlefields interesting and varied in a way I haven't experienced since vandal hearts. The story is competently put together with likeable characters but is in no way exceptional. There are a lot of scenes between battles and you will notice that the first few stages before you get into the rhythm of the game. However while they have a lot of scenes the actual dialogue in the scenes tends to be to the point; you don't have the dialogue bloat that appears in a lot of square games over the last several years. The english voice acting is decent but not amazing - they have a variety of american/british accents so you generally avoid the fake sounding english accents of other games of the genre. Music is solid but not that memorable outside of a couple of tracks. Visually it's fine although I would have preferred an artstyle with more detailed character designs. I didn't experience any bugs. Overall a very solid and polished game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Truth be told, this would be a mixed rating if I could give one. In each aspect of this game, there's something to love and hate. I think the prime example that comes to my mind is the voice acting. On its own, its...serviceable. Some actors have vastly better performances than others. The dialogue in late chapters and the voice acting is significantly better for the most part than the rest of the game. However, if you want to play this game do yourself a favor and turn the voice acting off during battles. It gets so grating on the ears. The gameplay is probably the most standout part to this game, which is relatively solid for the most part. I find it gets kind of boring when you realize like three or four of your units you get from chapter 1 can basically cheese the entire game (Anna stealth, Hughette abusing safe spots from elevation, etc.) but the actual core is solid. The difficulty of the game is very poor, only increasing damage and hp of enemies as it goes up, instead of implementing new moves enemies could get, or different modifiers to battles to make them more interesting. The story is serviceable, though not great, especially by RPG standards. The writing ranges from bad to alright depending on the chapter and route you're playing. The story itself makes sense in a broad spectrum, but the characters in it sometimes just don't. Some of the later chapters once again have significantly better writing than many of the earlier ones in the story. And yes, as many other people have pointed out, the story takes up a good like 70% of the time spent playing this game, rather than the gameplay. For some people thats a deal breaker, but to me I was okay with it. The music is one of the best parts of this game, but I do think they could've done with a few more tracks to make some battles and cutscenes feel less repetitive. TL;DR, The game is okay in most categories. Voice acting is hit or miss, gameplay is solid though has it's fair share of flaws. Story takes up a large chunk of the playtime of this game, and is serviceable. I would say this game isn't quite worth $60, probably more closer to $30-40.
so far, so good!

One of the most delightful novels you will ever play. I am streaming this for my channel on twitch, https://www.twitch.tv/machinemomcubusasuka , and my community really is enjoying it. The strategy sub-genre of JRPG always is very long form, but this is even more so. The story is engaging and not absurd or fantastical right out of the gate. It is *EXTREMELY* verbose, so be prepared for that, but overall, if you like things like Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem and the Tactics Ogre games, you will love this. An art style from the Octopath games and gameplay like the best entries into the strategy JRPG sub-genre. Absolutely recommend.
