Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Rum and Runes update According to the new trailer "The time has come to master spells that will change the way you play" So let me tell you how they didn't change a thing. In order to use spells, you first need to purchase them using magic shards then convert magic shards into fuel in your arcane bookshelf to purchase charges for your already purchased spells. You can already guess the problem... In order to get magic shards you again need to grind in the mines, And oh boy you need to grind a lot... You get 0-2 shard per creatures in the mines and 10-20 from a puzzle chest. Which means you can cast 5-6 spells per day if you emptied the mine. Ridiculous... If you want to cook the new dishes guess what, you also need magic fuel to do so, So technically you get spell that could make your crops grow faster, increase your crafting speed, age you drinks, etc to help you reduce the grind of keeping your tavern supplied, IF you grind for magic shards to able to even use them. So in essence you replace one tedious task for an other tedious task to help your first tedious task go a tiny bit faster. Also i want to specifically mention that with the magic system finally coming to the game many player expected teleporting since the game is getting bigger and bigger with every new location and now it takes a lot of boring running around between them. The devs even made the new arcmage character, from whom you learn the magick stuff, to use a teleporting spell during his quest, but nope you dont get teleport, keep running between every location to grind your daily needs. Best you can get is the ability to buy a spell that increases your movement speed for a short duration so you can slightly faster grind in the mine if you want to refuel your spell in the next day as well. So overall the new update is a huge disappointment for me, i feel like the devs losing the point of this game, and every update just adds more side things to grind instead of giving ways to actually automatize boring tasks so you could spend more time actually tavern keeping.
I want to manage a tavern, not do farming. There's not enough supply of product that you can buy and the game tries to push to you to farm, fish, mine, and other things on top of managing a tavern. I was hoping for less farming, but the cozy gaming genre seems to be a minefield of games that push you to do farming regardless of their core displayed gameplay loop. 0/1, can't recommend yet, but it still is pretty decent. Beware if you wanted to avoid farming because the gameplay progression will feel slower if you do so. Would recommend if there is more significant support for not farming.
For a relaxed playthrough without looking up any online guides or spoilers, it took me around 59 hours to reach the end of the current Early Access content. It's a great game, and the developers just rolled out their latest update back in April. However, keep in mind that it has been in development for 6 years now—definitely something to consider. That said, I highly recommend grabbing it on sale!
This game makes my autism very happy and is my new hyperfixation! :D There's so much to do and see and explore that I find myself digitally running around from dawn till dust. My poor character must have really sore feet by now, haha! I'm never bored and can literally lose hours just getting sucked into this delightful world. From cute animals to tend, crops to care for, fish to catch, caves to explore, and hilarious customer comments, (I'm tired of hearing stories about Stella too my man!), my day is never dull in Travellers Rest. Two suggestions; I wanna be able to pet the farm animals, and it'd be nice to be able to actually save the game any time I fancied, rather then having to go to bed in order to save. Sometimes I have to put the game down quickly, which means shutting the tavern early and heading to bed at odd hours, wasting the rest of that day just because there's no other way to save! I wanna be able to save and close the game mid-shift and come back to finish that same shift later. I lied, I have a third suggestion; sleeping bags! Let us carry a sleeping bag in our inventory that allows us to sleep and wake up anywhere. I wanna be able to spend mutliple days caving or fishing, but I always have to run home to bed before 3am, and then travel all the way back the next day. Let us have a way to sleep outside the tavern! :D 1000/10 game, I love it and I can't wait to watch it grow! :)
I wish I could give a thumbs sideways for this game. It feels dishonest to give it a thumbs down: I'm going to play more of it immediately after I finish writing this. But in writing out my feelings about the game, I realize I can't imagine encouraging other people to pick it up in its current state. First, the good stuff. The core gameplay loop in the tavern feels really good, in part because the game expects you to stop engaging with most of it. Once you hire a full complement of NPC staff, you can and should stop interacting with customers. You instead become master brewer, head chef, interior decorator, and errand runner. You'll find yourself leaving the tavern entirely in the care of your staff while you spend hours fussing with your brews, or while you run two map screens away to purchase that ingredient you ran short on. In a strange way, this makes the extremely simple NPC staff feel far more robust than objectively more complex ones in other management games. Like quality employees in real life, they can be trusted to handle their work when you aren't looking. Better yet, decorating the tavern feels phenomenal. Travellers Rest makes smart compromises on what items need to be locked to a grid and what items can be freely placed. The controls for decorating are very intuitive on mouse and keyboard, and it's easy to revise your placements any time you want. The game's unique pixel art aesthetic looks great. I keep grinding away because I have a clear vision for what I want my tavern to look like and I want to realize that vision in the game. But that gets me to the bad: This game is a grind. It has only become more of a grind as its time in early access has worn on. Nothing is hard to come by, but everything costs too much, whether it's in currency, materials, or time. Your level gain slows to a crawl far sooner than you'd expect, Maps have long distances between points of interest, sometimes with literally nothing of value between them. Upgrading a single tool requires 30+ metal bars and 60+ wooden planks, amounts so comically absurd that you can only see them as the arbitrary video game gates they are. This is just a sampling of the many little annoyances that add up. This might be less frustrating if the game wasn't constantly pushing a new player toward overspending. I appreciate the desire to open up the game to advanced players quickly, but you're constantly being introduced to new equipment and materials and mechanics well before you can afford them. I know more than one person has had to abandon their first save because they adopted the cat on day 2 and only then realized that they couldn't afford its exorbitantly priced food, or because they harvested some expensive crops and only then realized they had no recipes that could use them, or because they tried to build a room to rent when the game prompted it and immediately wiped out their entire savings placing five floor tiles. You also cannot recoup any of your mistakes or sunk costs in any way: if you spend hundreds of wood planks crafting some items and then realize they're not going to work for your needs, be prepared to load a save or chuck those items in the trash. These are issues I'm not confident a 1.0 release will fix, because when I first played this game, they weren't present, or at least weren't such a prominent part of the experience. I think they could be fixed, if the team wanted to, and I'm sure at least some of them will be (building your first rental room will definitely get a proper tutorial at some point, and I would not be surprised if scrapping items for a partial materials refund is eventually added to the roadmap). But it seems clear to me that Travellers Rest has been scoped out into something I like less than I did when I first picked it up, and that I have fundamental disagreements with the dev team about how its economy and progression should work. That said: sometimes I want a grindy, low-difficulty game to keep my hands and eyes busy while I listen to a podcast. Right now, Travellers Rest is that game for me. And by the time I finally get fed up, my tavern's gonna look so stylish. So I guess consider how much annoyance you're willing to endure to decorate a building really, really slowly.
there was a specific magic to our sessions in 2023—the medieval atmosphere was spot on. lately, the shift toward an anime-inspired look has soured the experience for me. it’s lost that 'special something' that made me fall in love with it in the first place. truly sad to see the direction change like this.
