This is an unofficial fan work produced under the Touhou Project fan content guidelines. Touhou Project is the property of Team Shanghai Alice / ZUN.
You are MINORIKO AKI, Symbol of Abundance, one of the eight million gods! The field for harvest gods is particularly competitive, so the amount of faith you've been able to scrape together has been modest at best. However, your time to shine is fast approaching!
Gensokyo is growing! As more gods and youkai take refuge from the outside world in this sealed-off fantasy land, more humans are needed to sustain them; thus, many big-name youkai are taking an extended vacation to give the Human Village some breathing room to grow.
This is a big opportunity to increase your popularity! Conspiring with the Moriya Shrine, you aim to help the village expand by supplying it with as many healthy crops as your divine, dirty little hands can cultivate. Time to get to work!

Minoriko's Homestead Harvest is a traditional farm sim set against the colorful backdrop of Touhou Project's Gensokyo. Rather than trying to split the difference between casual players and those that enjoy a time management challenge, it offers two gameplay modes:
In Casual Mode, you have as much time each day as you like, and you can play at your own pace to complete the game by meeting certain story objectives.
In Serious Mode, each day has a time limit, and you have two in-game years to reach your goal of gathering enough faith through Minoriko's farming operation. Some additional hurdles to make resource management more robust are added as well.
There's more to planning out your farm than just aesthetics! You can't walk through your crops after they've sprouted, so you'll need to plan their placement with care, but your tools can upgrade their area of effect in many ways to suit whatever layout you please. You can build terraces to grow rice and other aquatic crops, as well as lay out an irrigation system through hoses and sprinklers with a variety of patterns. Players that enjoy a light engineering challenge will find themselves at home here.
Various side sources of income such as fishing and mining are available, but if you want some real excitement, head into Youkai Mountain's adventure zones for some shooting action and loot!
Minoriko needs YOUR help to be Gensokyo's #1 harvest god! If you're interested in a new farm sim with a fun setting, check out Minoriko's Homestead Harvest today!

What a wonderfully chill and bright game. Even though I'm playing the serious time crunch mode I don't feel stressed as I'm going around gathering everything to make a successful farm. It doesn't need to be too different to be enjoyable as a farming game, but the introduction of Touhou's Bullet Hell battles in the Adventure zones is far better than most Farming Sim's slow and awkward sword swinging combat (I'm looking at you, Graveyard Keeper). But even besides that, Minoriko Homestead Harvest removes enough of the smaller hassles (such as not needing to refill the watering can and being able to just jump fences rather than needed to build a gate, I'm looking at you Stardew Valley) that it makes me look forward to seeing more chances to spend that time doing character interactions.
If you like Touhou and Harvest Moon, you'll like this.

I took a long as frick sebatical from farming games because I just had a general fatigue of the whole oversaturated genre. As a based Touhou enjoyer though, this very much piqued my interest when it first appeared in my recommendations. It is still early goings in terms of development, so there is a pinch of salt to be taken with everything I am about to say. Let me say first and foremost the most complete aspect of the game, the music, is wonderfully arranged and composed. The familiar tunes being played in an aesthetically pleasing and chill way makes the experience very zen. The story is not very fleshed out at the moment, but in general it is quite decent for a farming game. It does not have to be the best aspect of the game for me, at least. The optimized controls and farming mechanics are a particular highlight of the experience. The danmaku sections are great, if a bit easy to cheese. The promise of future content should hopefully flesh out the void felt with the current experience. The pixel art is clear to understand, sleek, and is easy to the eyes for sure. The character art is... certainly a choice. I like some characters' art. The Abby clone character is certainly not going to please die-hard Touhou lore purists. I do not really engage with that side of the community. I am mainly into Touhou for its unique game mechanics and bullet hell gameplay. This fits that into a farming sim quite seemlessly. Overall, if you like what is already here pick this up. If you feel the content is not all the way there yet, put it on the wishlist and see where it goes in terms of development. Things will probably be slow going for now, but I expect a massive update soon. At least at the time of writing this.
this game is fun and good to play after a exhausting day. can't wait for more updates!
Hello everyone, John Review here! This game is a pretty solid blend of Touhou and Stardew Valley, so if you're into bullet hells and fishing minigames this is gonna go crazy for you. While not everything is here yet, what it has is incredibly solid and I will definitely be playing more now and when 1.0 hits! If I can remember to update this review once it's up, I'll probably do that! At the current point I've played at its current state of development, there is nothing I've disliked in playing! Though, if you're coming from Stardew Valley or games with similar mechanics, there are a couple of control and mechanic differences that you'd need to adjust to. Of note, to plant watercress you need to till the soil with your hammer instead of hoe, which I don't think is specified anywhere in the game (I could just be illiterate). Of the things I'm looking forward to, relationship building and dialogue expansion is at the top! I'm very fond of the Touhou characters present, some being familiar faces along with some that I find to be underrated! I am, however, upset Tsukasa isn't planned to be romanceable. My wife :( I'm happy with Mike at least :) Anywho I suck at bullet hells, buy bento boxes from Miracle Mart!
An excellent Touhou-themed farming sim with a good variety of different activities for the player to do. I don't play many farming sims, but I've had a lot of fun with the different mechanics offered here. The main attraction though is of course interacting with the cast and I'm very happy to say that this game has a very varied collection of characters from different games in the Touhou series, and the writing has been very enjoyable. I got the 1st friendship events for Yuugi, Mystia, and Momoyo all the same time and each one was a joy to see, the writing is very amusing and endearing.
